Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

New ZealandThe rooms are very tired. Our first room was sparse and was just blah. We moved to the other tower as part of a group and this room was in a much better state with a nice bathroom and upkeep was better.. but still well overdue for a revamp.
Location is great and room size is very good. Easy access to the beach and easy walking.

United States of AmericaLack of knowledge of staff about location of DVD lending machine and how to use the stairways to exit the building, some of the electrical outlets in our room (1202) didn't work, having to pay to use bar-b-q grills, the spottiness of newspaper delivery. This review is most important for the Waikiki Banyan staff to read and attend to.
room, location, bed, kitchen facilities, dvd player and dvd lending from machine on 5th floor, some flat pillows, shoe holder, free entrance to Bishop Museum, offer of daily newspaper, responsiveness of staff

United States of AmericaThe room key system is apparently "touchy", and the keys are easily de-magnetized, meaning you have to schlep down to the front desk and have another key made. At certain times of the day, the wait can be long for an elevator. I was surprised to see there was a $29/day resort fee (for a bunch of stuff I didn't need plus wi-fi, which I did want). So the room is $30/day more than the advertised price -- plus a bunch of taxes (which I am not complaining about).
The hotel location was fabulous, just two blocks off Waikiki beach. The hotel staff was startlingly responsive and always friendly. The rooms were adequate (we had an ocean view on one side of the hallway and a city view on the other side of the hallway on a different floor). The kitchen was well equipped; we prepared most of our own meals. Linens were completely acceptable and towels were readily available. The soaps, shampoo, etc. were plentiful and again, if you ran out, readily available around the clock. The kids I traveled with (15 and 10) LOVED the pool. We went every day. The hotel has beach towels that you can exchange every day for clean towels. A really nice touch. And, anything you need -- from more coffee to towels -- is available at the front desk in the late afternoon/evening. The entire staff, from towel exchange in housekeeping to the front desk was VERY friendly and responsive. The overnight parking for guests is very reasonably priced (but the parking lot can be challenging).

AustraliaThe Property or the room we had was carpeted and looked dirty. When we enter the room didn’t smell good so we had to quickly open the window and the aircon.
We like how close it was to the beach, restaurants and waikiki Strip. We love the amenities, the view and mostly the receptionists

AustraliaWE had problems with hot water in the bathroom vanity. On entering the unit there was excess water on the floor of the bathroom adjacent to the wall. The water was a brownish color. A call to reception resulted in building maintenance being sent to our room and it was ascertained that the hot water tap in the wall behind the vanity was leaking. The maintenance person called his supervisor who advised that he would obtain the necessary replacement parts and fix the problem. We were offer to relocated to another room. However we were reluctant to accept as we were very happy with the room we had and advised maintenance that we would be out of the room and were happy for them to come and fix the problem.
We were allocated a premium Ocean View room in tower 2 on the 33rd Floor. The views of the ocean and beach were fantastic even though there were other buildings in front of our accommodation. Great self-contained accommodation with a King Size bed, dining setting (table and six chairs), lounge area with 2 single chairs and a 3 seater lounge chair (which could convert to a double bed) and a kitchen with full size refrigerator, very large microwave oven and full size electric range. The bathroom had been partially renovated with a new bathroom vanity and had a walk in shower (with shower curtain). There was also a balcony with two chairs and a table. There was also a stand alone air conditioner.

HungaryThe furniture was a bit old and the extra sofa bed not comfortable at all for sleeping. The a/c was working, though loud enough for the night, so we shutted down. Being there during summer, we had to open the windows with what the traffic noise also came in, that started too early in the morning and lasted late in the evening for a good sleep.
The beach was next block, the staff was friendly and helpful, parking could be solved around the block in most of the cases. Kitchen was well equipped as well!

AustraliaBooked due to the option of having a sofa bed as I was travelling with my dad yet there wasn’t one provided and when I called reception I was told that the rooms don’t have them despite it being listed on my booking in booking.com and correspondence with the hotel that I would need linen for it which they confirmed would be provided. A roll away was provided when I called however for a full grown adult wasn’t comfortable as my feet were hanging off the end of it and it’s only a single bed size. If it wasn’t for the bed issue the hotel would have been fine.
