The TV did not connect with the router. Staff member came and reset it. At one time later in the evening it happened again and was so in the morning. Did not call to fix at night - too late and in the AM, staff was involved elsewhere. The refrigerator was just chilled, not cold and did not bring the temperature of the water placed in it down. The desk chair was lose at the connection so as to rock back and forth as I sat in it. Should have been noted and fixed or replaced at the last room cleaning. The AC had to be put on "continuous fan" to operate to chill the room.

The breakfast was lacking. And after we checked out Booking.com emailed to tell us that we failed to show up for our reservation. I will say that this was my fault for putting the reservation in my name then charging it to my mother's credit card. We just felt that we should have been asked before being told that we were a no show.

The staff was very friendly. The room was quiet and cool.

The property is fine. It is clean and is a place to sleep when visiting Athens. If you are looking for fancy or high end, this is not your place. If you just need a safe, clean place to sleep, then this is a great choice. The value for what you get is on point. The staff are nice as well. This is a budget motel. But a clean one. I will stay here again when visiting Athens.

Breakfast is sad. Not even bread or bagels or a toaster. Coffee empty during service time.

Bed was comfy. Room seemed clean. Spoke to housekeeper and he was helpful and pleasant.

The free breakfast wasn't really breakfast--there were some packaged donuts and some coffee. Not a problem for us, but if you're expecting a big breakfast, you won't get it here.

It's a little outside central Athens but easy access. Quiet area with some slight highway noise but nothing to keep you awake. It's a Super 8. You get a bed and a bathroom.

The expense. It was mom’s weekend at OU. Charging over $300 a night at a Super 8 is a crime. I know all hotels were doing it but it’s just wrong.

I booked through booking.com which had my husbands card on file, but he wasn’t with us so I needed to use a different card, which I guess wasn’t allowed, so he needed to email consent to charge the card. that could have been something I missed and totally my fault but it was the only thing that wasn’t great.

There could've been a wall USB outlet in the room somewhere. Would've liked to hand my room key off to a person instead of simply dropping it in a box. Also, being "old school" would've liked to receive a paper receipt at either check-in or check-out.

The breakfast offering was rather meager. Not a lot to choose from. The room and facility overall was neat and clean, which was appreciated. Overall stay was quiet and adequate.

My mom, dad, wife and kids was at the hotel. Mom and dad was room 125. The wife kids and I was in 128. At 10:15 AM of check out day they shut all 4 key cards off to be able to enter into the closest exit to our room. My kids was left in the room because one was sleeping and the older one was awake. We could see her through the screen as we opened the window. I walked to back door while my wife stayed and talked to our daughter. I tried all 4 keys and was LOCKED out. I told my daughter to open the door one I knocked and would tell her it's daddy. When I got to the room after running almost the entire length of building to go into the "Main" entrance. As a side note we had been going out that door nearest to us since we checked in. So then after I entered the building I had to run back down the hall to get to my room. But what happened next puzzled me! My key WORKED on my room number 128 😯. I'm now confused. I was so mad that I had sit and calm myself. When we went to leave the owner wasn't within my sites. I tried calling the front desk but my phone NEVER WORKED and room 125 didn't work.

You needed transportation to get to restaurants & shopping - nothing in walking distance (< 1mile).

Room was clean. Shower had good water pressure. I arrived by motorcycle and they allowed me to park under awning - it was raining when I arrived and more was predicted.

There were no lids for the coffee for us to grab n go in the morning There was no shuttle service to the Athens Community Center or the Ohio University campus.
