Each review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (i.e. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

No negatives.
Desk staff friendly. Building and grounds maintained. Room was clean, bed was comfortable. Good shower, bathroom clean and tidy. Furniture a bit retro but acceptable. Good location for I5 access, restaurants, etc. Didn’t have the continental breakfast. Seems well managed. Wifi was good.

When we got up early (6:00 am) the water temperature in the sink and shower was cool to luke warm, and water flow was quite restricted. We let the water run but it never warmed up to becoming hot. I mentioned this issue to reception when we left and was told many other recent guests had made the same comment. He further said that by ~ 8:00 am the water does become hot. Reception said the comments had been passed on to the owner but the latter's response was that there was nothing wrong with the hot water system. We enjoyed the room but the owner should fix the hot water system so it maintains hot water 24 hours a day.
Good size room, quiet, clean, comfortable beds, looked recently renovated - carpeting, paint on the walls.

The spa bath is SO nice. It never feels like it’s been deep cleaned and I’m a clean freak so I bring cleaning supplies and scrub it before usuing it but otherwise the room is wonderful and fairly clean. Comfortable beds and pillows.

Staff were so very friendly. Gave us great directions to where we wanted to go. Also, a few options as to where to eat. Easy to find. Clean, breakfast was good too. Would stay there again.

Close to downtown and super close to freeway and grocery store. When I was growing up in Bellingham, this area was "sketchy“. Now it’s really up and coming and not bad at all. The front desk man was really friendly and personable. We chatted for an extra ten min at check in and he was really helpful getting us an personal cab driver who was SUPER quick and cheaper than a normal cab or Uber. Really good value for the price. Especially in Bellingham (these days). Also a pretty big fridge for a motel.

There was initially no hot water in the morning for a shower, but you just had to run the water for approximately 10 minutes and wait for it to warm up as there weren't very many people in the hotel.
Clean comfortable stay and quiet too :)

Bath items are very skimpy, especially the soap, but I just ask for more. Didn't require daily maid service.
I have stayed at the property previously and believe that it has been painted since my last visit. For a budget property it is acceptable. I was in a corner room (217) and found it very convenient. The staff is friendly, but the free breakfast is pretty minimal and ends at 9am. Location is on a main thoroughfare, but not exceptionally noisy. Many dining options within walking distance. Also, nearby Starbucks and Haggens supermarket in the shopping center nearby.

Confident location , rooms were clean and comfortable. We needed something while attending an event and didn't need anything with facilities, so met our needs . The staff were kind and friendly. Thank you, we will stay there again.

Nice staff, clean room, centrally located. It's over a hill from the downtown area with most of the restaurants and brewpubs, but we enjoy walking and the neighborhoods are nice. It's well priced compared to most other places we checked out.
