They didn’t clean our room. Had to request clean towels and sheets. Had to change them myself. The floor has so dirty- needed to be swept. Had to empty our own garbage. We were there three nights and they don’t come into your room at all. Won’t return there because of it!

Room was nice. Lobby provided nice breakfast items to take away.

Very good price and excellent establishment. Very easy to hop on the highway in central maine so you are right in the hub of all the attractions Maine has to offer. Governor’s restaurant attached to the hotel was a huge plus. Bed was super comfy and room itself was very comfortable and clean. Can not beat a hotel like this for such a good price.

Unfortunately, the bed was too soft. The hotel needs new mattresses. And significant for me, the laundry soap was not fragrance free. I and many others are chemically sensitive. It would be really considerate and good business policy to use fragrance free detergents and cleaning supplies. The scent was not as strong as in other hotels, but bad enough to make sleeping less comfortable.

It was clean and had all the necessary amenities. The breakfast selection was varied and available very early in the morning for those of us who are early risers. I also appreciated the different places to sit comfortably outside the room, and I took advantage of the workout room treadmill. Overall, we had a good stay.

The room had a funny smell to it. I just can’t understand how a hotel in 2023 gets away with no elevators considering the ADA. Trumping up a flight of stairs in a dress hauling luggage is not my idea of a good time.

The price was good. I liked the fireplace I my room.

Beds were comfortable enough, better than some, not as good as others. At the end of the day, so to speak, we did get some sleep. We didn't bother with the complementary Continental breakfast.

Breakfast is minimal compared to some but as advertised. We take some breakfast offering for snacks on the road but can’t pass up the offerings at The Governors next door. All good.

There is not a handcap ramp or ramp to roll your luggage up. 🤔 pool was closed, frozen over!!

Had a very comfortable overnight stay, en route home. I'd stayed at the fireside inn many years ago, and they sell little stuffed moose/bears to raise money for cancer support. I bought one year's ago and another one this past stay. I think it's a wonderful fund raiser and item. The staff could not have been nicer or more helpful. The room was spotlessly clean, and the beds were comfortable. The hallway rugs I found beautiful. There was even a bag of micro popcorn to enjoy if wanted. Lots of snacks and breakfast items to choose from in the lobby and take on the road if you wanted. The Governor's restaurant, which is attached to the Inn, served a very good dinner. I had the potroast, salad, beets, and feta, my friend had the meatloaf, mashed spuds. The waitress, service and staff were wonderful. Really hit the spot after a long day of traveling.

The cost was very high considering the property. Clearly knowing famalies were visiting students they really jacked up the rates as did other properties in the area.

Property was close to school I visited and clean. Nothing special in regards to the facility but that is fine. Staff was very friendly and helpful and best part of the stay.

Bathrooms need to be updated. The toilet is very small and I prefer a shower head with a hose.

The only complaint was the noise from the room above early in the morning. The building is old, and there didn't seem to be much insulation in the floor......

The room was very comfortable. I was pleasantly surprised by the selection of breakfast items available in the lobby. Although there was no designated seating area for breakfast, we did find a table and chairs in the hall. And the restaurant attached to the hotel was very convenient for dinner upon arrival.

I was told not to use the guest laundry at around 8pm -and wait until the morning- because the hotel was filled mainly with workers from the electrical company and they'd get grumpy because of the noise; I ignored the advice and did the laundry anyway because I had no choice, only to realise the workers were having beers in groups in the rooms and corridors until way later than I had finished my laundry. No elevator, and our room was in the second floor (and carried quite a bit of luggage).

Very large room. Clean. Comfy beds. After a long drive, we were received with some chocolate cream cookies at check-in...that absolutely made it for the kids!

The dog water dish spilled a little so we wiped it up - the laminate floor was a bit dirty, not unreasonable but it is the only thing we did not like as everything else was very good.
