Nitpicky things, by no means bad or deal breakers for staying here again! The channel line up on the TV is pretty small. Not that we spent a lot of time in the room watching TV, but at night, the selections were pretty thin. They do provide coffee beginning at 8am, which is super nice, but it would be spectacular if they did a breakfast option. Having a bagel and some fruit on the patio would be a wonderful way to start your day in Monterey! Some of the furniture was a bit worn, and the desk chair had some odd stains on it, but again, nothing major at all.

What a lovely spot. The location is top notch, within walking distance to the Wharf and Cannery Row. The staff was super nice and helpful. The room was very comfortable and clean. We found the bed to be just fine (some reviews mentioned how uncomfortable they and the pillows were, not our experience) and the towels, sheets, and overall space was very tidy. The partial ocean view from the patio was awesome! We could hear the sea lions barking at night and in the morning, what a treat to enjoy a cup of coffee in the chilly morning and be able to listen to them AND watch them frolick in the water! The room got pretty chilly in the evening and early morning, BUT the fireplace (electric) really warmed up the room nicely. All in all, would absolutely stay here again. Very reasonable price for a well situated room with an ocean view. (The pic is from the patio! A very nice partial view!)

Walls between rooms were a bit thin so we were kept awake by the folk next door and woken with snoring! The property is a bit untidy but that is part of its charm

Super location. The staff were helpful and kind. Everything we needed was available and the room was comfortable. Great free parking facility at the hotel and easy access with a lift.

Shower head was placed too low. The height made it difficult to shower.

Location was perfect. It was a 5 minute walk to cannery row and 10 minute walk to pacific grove. I would stay here again.

Little disappointed in the room; “partial view” was mostly of the parking lot below and the fireplace was electric! Lastly, the bathtub had a long black hair in it before we even showered. Yuck!

The fact that in the family room you could only shower even though there was a bath. The plumber had fitted an outlet in the bath so that a plug could not be used and therefore young children in the family room could not have a bath.

Location near the beach. Fire in room. Drinks at reception. Blackout curtains. Large fridge and microwave. Staff very friendly and helpful. We visited lady years, plus this year and plan to return next year.

Water pressure in shower.

A small motel, somewhat aged but very clean and comfortable. Nice balcony view and great access to beautiful Cannery Row! Delightful visit

Room was really cold and had a little bit of a weird smell. Definitely need to pay attention to detail when cleaning, almost as if the just cleaned what was visible but forgot behind bathroom door, chair was clearly old ripped and in need of a good clean. The coffe maker didn’t really work.

Second stay here love the location and the price is great. The beds are super comfy.

Shower wasn’t as good as hoped for. A bit difficult to use. I had a shower which was extremely high pressure, but only the middle 3 shower nozzle jets were going. Felt like a fireman’s hose. My husband changed the shower head for his shower so that it was a full rain shower but there was very little pressure. He mentioned it was difficult to wash out shampoo because of the pressure.

Fantastic location, lovely room with fireplace and water view. Also has lift from car park which is always super helpful. We also arrived early and could go straight to our room as it was already ready. Very much appreciated.

Some neighboring guests were a little loud in the halls.

The location was wonderful. It was near major attractions and shopping areas. Very pleased with that !

Shower water pressure isn’t very good, microwave didn’t work, warmed stuff up for 5 minutes just to still be cold, high sink water pressure with the shape of the sink bowl shoots out water everywhere’s you have to be VERY gentle with the handle in order to avoid splashing yourself. Honestly minor issues that could probably be solved quickly.

Location is really nice, there’s a little beach a very short 2 minute walk, we didn’t get a chance to visit but it looked cute. If you like to walk a lot or take a bike it’s also possible to travel to the aquarium by this method. Bed was comfortable, heater worked really well, nice room layout, fridge works, elevator was in a convenient location to parking. Parking lot had good bright lighting so it felt safe.

We got a room with a fireplace, which was very appreciated since the weather was quite rough. The "normal" heater in the room was quite loud, so the fireplace was much better.

The hotel is in a great location, but you can hear all the traffic noise from your room. I didn’t mind it as much, but my hunny had a hard time sleeping with all the noise.

Great location! Easy walk to the beach, aquarium, many restaurants & fisherman’s wharf. Room had a fireplace and a large deck area which was a wonderful surprise when we checked in. The staff were super friendly. After we checked out, we headed to the aquarium and they let us leave our vehicle in their parking area so we could walk.
