One issue I had wasn’t about the property itself, but the fact that the listing said two bedrooms. It is NOT two bedrooms, but one bedroom and a den with a foldout sofa. All in all we were happy, but I certainly feel like I didn’t get exactly what I paid for.

The location of the complex was great, the location of our condo was stellar. We could see/hear the beach from our lanai. Having a grill to use was very nice. Sunrise coffee in the beach every morning is something that’ll stay with me forever.

Hard to find no signage or street numbers or on the building. Had to ask someone to locate our unit. Wifi on sheet was incorrect had changed on the actual wifi box. Needed to ring castles to sort out. No wine glasses in the house. Too many other personal things in fridge, cupboards so made it complicated to use.

We were given an incorrect access code number meaning we couldn't enter the apartment when we first arrived. After a few phone calls and the arrival of the property manager we were given access The apartment was a bit hot and could use some air conditioning

No A/C, but the winds kept us cool all night and during the day.

The condo felt like home. Our kids were comfortable there. The walking distance to shops and stores was very manageable. Will definitely most likely book here again in the future.

Everything was perfect. The apartment was very clean and cozy. The interior design was beach themed and just exquisite! Every morning I could see the sunrise from the balcony. We had a very pleasant stay.

Parking was slightly confusing. Not many spots to park as most were reserved had to park In little parking lot on the side kinda far from our room. No AC in our unit made it rough with our 1yr old

The location was amazing! The apartment was exceptionally clean and the kitchen ammenities were great. It even had a washer and dryer. View was exceptional! Beach views from the bedroom, den & balcony. I loved this place! All the amenities of home.

Dryer filter is in a weird location and hard to locate, so when we did find it, there was a lot of lint built up b/c other people probably couldn't find it. Might be wise to either leave a note for guests explaining where the filter is, or else have housekeeping staff check it/clean it after each stay. Just an idea!

The unit was amazing. A wonderful apartment/condo, clean, great kitchen, comfortable bed, beach toys in the closet, pack n play for our kid (thank you!), etc. Great, efficient floor plan! Steps from the ocean, so we fell asleep to the sound of the waves - amazing. The staff was super friendly and helpful. The other guests were chill and friendly too, low-key place to stay, we appreciated that. Thank you so much!

Livin by the beach!!! one of the best properties I have stayed in, felt like home and we loved how it was apartment-hotel style. having our own washer and dryer and having a kitchen where we can make home-cooked meals was just so great. Having our own quiet beach was such an amazing experience. Will definitely be back

Great location for getting around and for easy food shopping when you needed it, as well as access to the beach and great see views! We arrived late evening (later than scheduled) and Patty was great in making sure we could get into the property ok. Thank you!

Overall, I loved the property and would stay again. Things that would have put 10's across the board at this property..... 1. Checkin- I wish Booking.com and/or the property management would do better is clearly state the physical address of where one needs to go to pickup the key/checkin as it is NOT at the address listed in Booking.com. In the end, while it's close by, it still took me 20-30 minutes to figure it out (with the help of a nearby resort) . **This is a super simple fix on the property or booking.com's part. 2. Wine opener- Unsure who the wine opener walked away with, but I really disliked having dinner blazing, one kid in the shower, and not being able to find a wine opener! Thankfully, the nice ladies in the condo beside me saved me and allowed me to borrow theirs!! Again- super easy fix. One that I'm confident the owner/property manager was unaware. **Many other reviews commented on the lack of dishes/etc. There are only place settings for 4, but it didn't bother me at all as there is fabulous hot water and a dishwasher that I ran every day. Super easy.

Getting to the condo from the airport was very easy! The condo is within walking distance of several restaurants and a grocery store. Fabulous location if you plan to visit/tour as much of Kauai as you can. The condo had lovely ocean breezes with all windows/french doors open. Fabulous to fall asleep every night to the sound of true ocean waves crashing vs my normal sound machine. LOVE the washer/dryer in the unit, we travel light so having a washer and dryer is always a must in the places we rent. The countertops in the kitchen and bathroom are lovely. The "den" area is actually perfect for a 2nd bedroom. My daughter pulled out the sleeper and was thrilled to partition us off by closing her doors. The balcony area was lovely and were we had breakfast every morning. Have a full kitchen is fabulous to have we can cook meals quickly to continue exploring or come home late and still make meals fairly quickly. This property is truly a lovely, low key, down to earth, laid back condo.

The unit we stayed in was surface clean but the rugs and couches were grimy. The screen in the screen doors were broken. The dishwasher worked but the upper rack was broken. The bathroom shower ran cold in the evening. Just a general lack of upkeep.

Reception, where keys are collected from, is a very long way from the actual room. This was not explained clearly. There was no property plan on paper to draw where I had to go. I had to let the taxi go, because my room was not quite ready. Then it was an unpleasant, hot, long walk with luggage, to get to my room, whom no one knew where it was, no matter who I asked. finally found it.

The apartment was very comfortable any close to the ocean, shops and transport.

The information provided to me via email turned out to be completely false. The email specified room number K205, which did not exist. The only rooms on the property that could have matched were KKA205 and KKB205. Due to this fact and neither of the buildings having any signage with the hotel name, I assumed I was lost and had stumbled upon privately owned apartments or condos. I called the phone number provided in the email and was connected to an off shore call center where “Derek” tried to give me directions to the hotel. Due to the call center being off shore, he did not actually know what the property looked like and could not verify whether I was at the correct location. I asked to speak to front desk staff and he informed me that there was no front desk because my unit had remote check in. After confirming that the sign by the road said “Castle Kailani”, he assured me I was at the right hotel, so I began asking why my email stated that I was in room K205 if there was no unit with that number. He explained that there was a building A and a building B and I was in building B. This seemed unlikely, as building B clearly did not have an ocean view. He insisted that I was in building B. I reiterated that there was no “K205” in either building and when I said “KKB205?” He would say “yes.” Then I would say “but my email says I am in room K205” and he would say “yes” again. He apologized profusely for the issues, which did not help as none of this was his fault, nor did he have the tools available to solve the issue. At this point he said he had an idea and that he would call one of their sister companies to confirm. A few minutes later he called me back but still did not have an explanation for the room number or contact information for who I could speak to. At this point I had to leave for dinner reservations. I left my luggage in my brother’s room at a different hotel, this doesn’t even explain how I was able to get into my room but I’m at the character limit

The room was absolutely fine and had good AC and a nice view. The kitchen and laundry both had detergent which was nice.
