Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United States of AmericaNo on-site parking, but public parking was near. Room was dated but still very nice for the price. Staff also was less than friendly with a visitor, but on the flipside was exercising caution for security. Breakfast could have been a perk, but plenty of places you can walk to.
Awesome location for the occasion. Ample space and a great price. Neat Genius perks.

United KingdomCouldn’t open either of the bedroom windows to let in fresh air. I understand this may be a security or safety requirement, but still…
Great location on Belmont, right next to the train station for Brown and Red Lines. Also close to Wrigley Field, Lakeshore Park and plenty of shops, supermarkets, restaurants, etc in the vicinity. The hotel has a great vibe. The staff obviously take a pride in their work and are both helpful and courteous. Hot coffee always available in the lobby helped get each day off to a flying start

United States of AmericaOur windows faced onto a solid brick wall. That wouldn't have been so bad had the room been painted a lighter color, or the lights been brighter. As it was, the room was dark and gloomy. But we were out all day, just needed a place to sleep, so it was OK.
Bed was very comfortable. The coffee in the lobby was good. Location right next to the train station was convenient. Price was reasonable.

United States of AmericaWhile the hotel being next to a L station is convenient it can also be very noisy, not just the train noise but i could her people shouting and yelling at night. The room had a window air conditioner and the noise seems to come in through that, perhaps it wouldn't be so bad in the summer when the air conditioner is running.
The bed and bedding was extremely comfortable. The amenities were a nice quality. Location was convenient to the Belmont L stop (Red and Brown line) and close to several restaurants and shops - everything I needed was right there.

United States of AmericaIt was very cold in Chicago (below zero degrees F) the night I arrived and my room was freezing. No hear was coming out of the radiator, and I turned on the wall heater but it didn’t really heat up the room. I ended up sleeping in my coat and doubling up the comforter around me to get through the night. I learned the next day from the front desk person that the radiator valves needed to be opened to heat the room. I don’t have radiators and would never have known that. I think the hotel should either turn on the heat on cold days or at least provide instructions for heating the room.
The room was small but clean and well set up. The building itself is older but has been well maintained and decorated. The location was perfect for my purposes.

United States of AmericaThe rooms were very hot when we first walked in. I was accommodated when I asked to switch rooms, and used the air conditioner to cool the new room down the mini-fridge was not plugged in or completely stocked.
It is unique and generally comfortable. I like the two rooms. The staff is always polite and works to meet our needs. We stay here 4-6 times per year.

United States of AmericaThe room was very hot, steam heaters in the bath and living area created a very dry hot atmosphere. I could not control them.
The king room suite consisted of two clean rooms. The suite was very quiet despite the proximity to the train. I slept very well, nice linens, firm bed.

United States of AmericaThe only problem I had was with the tv. It was stuck on a menu, that would not go away. No big deal, honestly.
I chose this hotel because of its great location. It was also just an easy experience. Parking isn’t too complicated. The room was spacious and comfy. The staff is efficient. And all for a good price in an expensive town.

United States of AmericaBecause it was vintage there were some things that felt too out of date and this caused me to feel uncomfortable at times. I couldn’t tell if it was intentionally designed in that particular way or there was just carelessness in the upkeep of the hotel.
I love this property because it was unique and vintage. I love that it was like 2 seconds from CTA. That was the best part.
