Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United States of AmericaThe hot water in the first room to the shower/bathtub would not work at all but I got moved to a new room that it did work.
I liked the morning breakfast included and I appreciated the lady that checked me in at the front desk was very nice and considerate bcuz I was so late checking in she made it to where I was able to have a layer checkout time. We need more employees like her!!

United States of AmericaOur room, Room 128, smelled absolutely horrendous. Every time you walked through the door, it smelled like a mix of mildew and cat urine. The heat worked great, but the a/c itself would only run one time and then never turn itself back on again for the remainder of our stay. I used so much air freshener just trying to stomach the smell in that room for 5 days.
The bed was comfy and check I was a breeze.

United KingdomOn arrival at SEATAC I found the "shuttle service" area and there was a listing for the Clarion Hotel with telephone number to call for their shuttle. Did so but "number unobtainable". Took taxi ($27-odd) to hotel. Was told shuttle service had been discontinued as an economy measure "years ago". At end of my stay I again took a taxi ($30) to SEATAC. I suspect that lack of shuttle service is part of the desperate effort to restore profitability due to corvid but other hotels still seem to be able to provide this service to their guests. Thus the stay at the Clarion was more expensive by over $50 than anticipated. THIS AREA NEEDS ATTENTION ! I don't think I would opt for the Clarion again until this issue is addressed.
The room was well-equipped, clean and comfortable. The breakfast was adequate generally - rather limited hot choice but understandable.

United States of AmericaFor a lack of better words, it was kind of gross. It's well worn. A great place for transient workers to shack up until the job is finished. It's minimally managed which shows. Cleanliness and maintenance is everything. The best thing I can say is the room was tidied up. And, I didn't see any bugs, so that was a plus. Breakfast had the usual. The building is beyond its usefulness. The curtains, freaking nasty. All and all, even though the TV worked, I can't believe I stayed here. Don't do it.
The poker room next door had ok food.

United States of AmericaEverything was dated and worn out. Someone had taken trash out and red sauce dripped from the bag all down a hallway and into the elevator. It was still there the next morning. The bed hurt our backs too.
Nothing really jumped out as something that would ever cause me to rebook here. It was simply one of the cheaper rooms I could find in Seattle and my wife had a late arrival flight that night.

United States of AmericaShower did not drain, room was comfortable but garbage had not been emptied. Lobby and main hallway needed custodial attention (could use a new carpet runner in the hallway). Very friendly staff and breakfast was decent. We desperately needed rest, and it was the only place available, for which we were grateful.
