Found two different sets of people smoking "products" behind the location so we werent able to get to explore the grounds fully. Also, the overhead device in the room wasn't working properly, so it flashed all night long.

Grounds were quiet, and even though they aren't serving breakfast, goodie bags were provided.

The absence of a breakfast was the biggest disappointment, which may well have been our fault in having misplaced expectations - so, maybe an opportunity to better set guest expectations on the website.

Allowed us to check in an hour before time as we were not going to be back while front desk staff were available. Front desk help was friendly and helpful.

Arrived at 0300 and our room with 2 beds only had one bed made. We had to go to the front to get sheets and make it ourselves. Additionally there were not enough towels.

I liked everything. Lovely, comfortable decor and the room has a refrigerator and a microwave.

The staff were very helpful and let me check in early after a long flight. The grounds are very green and there is outdoor space.

Our room was in the basement and the carpet in the room was dirty. Multiple stains. Also carpeting on stairs and back entrance very dirty.

The breakfast was a bagged assortment of items. Nice to have something available. Would have preferred a fresh cooked breakfast. Cheryl was wonderful. She waited for us due to a late check in.

The Inn is in some disrepair, and while it seems they are working to get it updated, the last few rooms we stayed in had drywall tape showing on the seams of the ceiling and wall - not a huge deal, but also not a great look. Both rooms also could have used a coat of paint, and the carpet in the back stairwell was filthy this time. It looked like someone with work boots had soiled the entire staircase and it was never cleaned up. Also, the outside areas are a bit unkempt, and some polish would make the entire experience better.

We love the Columbia Inn (we just call it The Peralynna :-))! The staff is excellent, and the building is great! We always have a good time, and enjoy the seclusion when visiting Ellicott City. My wife and I booked the Suite, and loved the multi-room feel of it. It was like a home away from home! The bed was AMAZING!!!
