The shower was backing up. My hotel room smelled damp and the front desk staff wasn’t the nicest.

Cigarette smoke reeked on the 1st floor… the one we moved from. A pair of forgotten sneakers were left near our car, never picked up by staff. Seemed no one had any authority except the manager that was never there. I booked this location because the website said it was .8 miles from downtown. It is not and it’s not in what I would call a good area. We wanted to be able to walk to some of the places downtown and while it’s not a bad or lobs drive to get to the riverfront area you cannot walk to it. Disappointing.

Average. Rooms clean but we had to change rooms due to bad AC and no plug in tub. People checked in same day as us and got rate 30.00 cheaper. Didn’t honor that for us even though I am a choice hotel member. The staff kept telling us they’d have a manager reach out to us but every day we asked to speak to one and there was never a manager on duty. Breakfast was decent enough.

AC did not work well enough to keep 3rd floor cool while temperatures outside were 90 degrees. Elevator had no AC at all. Property was not downtown as described when booked.

Didn't know there was major road construction that has the main road closed (was detoured to a back entry created to access the property). It appears the road construction will be going on for some time. Parking was limited.

The area around the hotel was under construction and so it was hard to see the sign as to where to turn to get in. We saw several homeless people walking around outside before we reached the hotel. Between the construction and the homeless people, it made it seem that the area was unsafe.

Staff member promptly greeted us even though it was really late when we checked in. The hotel and room were clean and in pretty good repair. Met our need to get a quick night of sleep on our road trip.

Road noise and lack of walkability to downtown

We did one of the king suites with a separate living room.It was very spacious and comfortable.Bath was a little tight but ok. Biggest issue is the road noise from I 24,which is adjacent. I asked for another suite on the opposite side of the building but apparently this was one of 2 suites,so it is a take it or leave it issue. After 3 nights,we decided that the extra space compared to where we usually stay in Chattanooga ( Doubletree and Hampton suites) was worth the noise.Next time I will bring ear plugs,but will stay here again for sure!

Location is a bit unsuitable. Area is industrial, very underdeveloped. Noticed a police presence. Building shows substantial deterioration. Doors, hallways, common areas are well beyond modernization. However, the rooms are exceptionally clean. Beds, linens and towels are of highest quality, which was a very nice offset with an aging facility. Complimentary breakfast was also exceptional. Good variety, with respect to dietary needs and nutrition.

The room we booked was a suite and when we arrived I went to set up the sofa bed for my kids. The sofa bed was completely broken. The mattress was ripped up and had holes in it. There were also holes in the wall in the bathroom. I reported it to the front desk and all they did was tell me they would make note of it. They did not offer another room or anything. Besides that, the hotel was nice just disappointed that the sofa bed was completely broken and sleeping arrangements were a bit difficult.

I was on the very end of the hall, and someone came over in the night and tried to get in. That scared me.
