Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.

When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

NetherlandsThere was a lot of traffic noice comming into the room asif a window was not properly closed. But it was. Traffic is day and night so for light sleepers not the best place to stay at lower levels of the building. Breakfast was included, but not much choice for a healthy one.
The staff was very friendly and the bathroom was just renovated. Cable TV with good movies all day. Breakfast was included. The bus stop from and to the airtrain is just around the corner. Metro station to downtown NY is 5 minutes walk away. Lots of take away and small restaurants near by.

United StatesThe walls needed to be finished better. The plastering and paint could be done better. The sink drained slow. Needs to be cleared. The toilet paper holder was terrible. It was squeaky and annoying.
The room was average size. The beds were comfortable. The room was clean as it could be. The Staff was very nice. Especially the roomskeeper and the front desk staff. You basically get what you pay for. Don't expect the Ritz.

When we arrived at the hotel we were greeted at front desk by the nicest Alfie, who was very accommodating. We even managed to get a bit earlier check-in which we really appreciated. The room was nice and clean and the staff were lovely. You also get a decent breakfast to start your day.
