Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United States of AmericaThe old style bedspread is not for me, most people throw them on the floor just to be wrapped around the pillow for the new guest. I would pay extra for non carpeted floors, our floors had some stains, in general the rooms need an update and the rates where less with last minute availability, so its a fair transaction deal. On a powder days planning is at the very last minute so I get flexible. On a positive note, the odor was pleasant and many places have masking deodorizers that give a headache so that was very nice. My partner had no problem, he is a camper, I am fussy. Good rates and last minute availability Thank you for the hospitality.
coffee & muffin was fine, not expecting a breakfast so something light was a bonus

United States of AmericaWe arrived late in the day after a long drive and had to be back on the road early. I wish we could have stayed longer to enjoy more of the nice features of this hotel.
Traveled for business with my family. Room was clean and quiet, beds were comfortable.

United States of AmericaIt's an old facility and it shows. The showers were weird and it was difficult to get consistent water temperature. One of the covers had come off the heaters and overall there were some state-of-repair issues. Everything that we needed did work.
Super friendly and helpful staff! Comfortable, big room and beds, easy access from parking lot. Plenty of parking. Lots of good coffee in the morning. Everything looked clean.

United States of AmericaThe hotel is old, needs a retrofit. The pool had strong smell of chlorine. The hotel didn't have a laundry.
Breakfast was a courtesy, simple but had the trivial, the hotel offer coffee and tea during all day. The room has a good size, god bed, mini refrigerator.

United States of AmericaThe rooms are pretty dated, and there were areas that were questionably clean (a vent close to the ceiling seemed to be spewing out dust so the ceiling had a big brown spot). Unfortunately, the whole hotel has a bit of a smell, like they used to allow smoking but no longer do. Wasn't great but also wasn't a deal breaker for us.
The rooms were comfortable and pretty big, overall clean with no bugs. The hotel has a cute nautical theme to match the name, and has cozy common areas if you're into that sort of thing. We really appreciated that they were one of the only budget/better value places in Stowe during the fall time. They did offer coffee and English muffins/toast with condiments in the morning which was a pleasant surprise. The lake out back is pretty and would be awesome during the summertime. They do have free parking with plenty of spaces.

CanadaThe Inn needs upgrading. It could do with some new paint and carpeting.
It is ideally located. Room was large. Bed was comfortable. Liked the hot tub and indoor pool. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Liked the restaurant Penalty Box so close.

United KingdomThere were no net curtains on the windows and during the day we felt a bit exposed from the rooms/walkway windows on the same ground level as us - we had to draw the curtains when walking around without many clothes on which was a bit dark.
Good sized room with comfortable beds. Hot drink maker in the room. The availability of hot drinks 24/7 in the foyer and the free continental breakfast options were all we needed. The on-site restaurant The Penalty Box served up nice food with friendly waiting and bar staff. The swimming pool looked nice too although we didn't use it on this trip. Good selection of items in vending machines by the stairs.

AustraliaNo daily room service due to (and since) COVID. On-site restaurant had very limited menu, and below average quality of cooking (nearly every dish was deep-fried in a batter, every dish we tried was too dry/overcooked).
Reasonable location just outside the town centre away from busy traffic and crowds. Reasonably sized room. Most fixtures were functional. On-site restaurant was a plus, considering only handful of food outlets operated at dinner time in the town full of tourists. Eating elsewhere required booking or lengthy waiting. House salad was fresh and of good quality.

United States of AmericaThe building has some deferred maintenance and is a bit old fashioned but all our needs were met. It was clean and friendly. I’d stay there again.
Close to the main part of town. Had an attached restaurant which was helpful. Cozy lobby with TV, magazines, comfy couches, coffee area, breakfast, indoor pool.

CanadaThe room was a bit dated. The continental breakfast was mostly breads and pastries, a few other other options would be good (yogurt cups, fruit). My partner is celiac so he was not able to take advantage of this amenity.
Very close to downtown Stowe, and hotel parking was easy. The room was spacious and the whole hotel seemed very pet friendly. The staff in general were very friendly.

United KingdomProperty is looking a little "tired". Food in the Sports bar is basic and the bar itself is really too large, as a result of which it lacks atmosphere Property is very easy to find, albeit rather on the outskirts of the town
