Not sure why I paid $300.00 a week for housekeeping?

Cottage was clean and comfortable, peaceful and quiet with great location to beach and walking distance to all shopping. I had a small dog and was able to take her for walks in the neighborhood.

TV was difficult to operate, low def cable. Heavy rains on day 1. Ocean was too rough for swimming. Surprised that the only free parking in Pompano was on Cottage property.

Clean, quiet location near the beach. They accommodated our early arrival. Bed was comfortable. We really liked sitting in the lanai. Plenty of restaurants in area, some walking distance.

The bathroom was tight, but fine for the two of us. Would love to have seen a small First Aid Kit somewhere in the cottage. I cut my finger at one point & needed to wrap it in paper towels until we could get a Band-Aid. But a very minor issue.

Loved our stay at Cottages by the Ocean. This place is so quaint. The cottage is clean and has everything one needs for a comfortable stay. The bed was super comfy and the area was safe & quiet. We enjoyed the screened porch while eating breakfast and the location! It was literally a three minutes walk to a very private section of Pompano Beach. We were also able to walk to the downtown main area with the pier, shops, and restaurants. Really, the location cannot be beat. Elaine, the owner, met us our first night and was very welcoming and informative. She gave us a restaurant recommendation that led to the best dinner we had all week, with a private ocean view right from our table. I can’t remember the name of the restaurant right now, it was right next to Oceanic restaurant. But if you’re headed to Pompano, book a stay at Cottages by the Ocean and Elaine will certainly be able to recommend the beautiful view restaurant to you as well. You won’t be disappointed with your stay here! We will be back :)

The AC was a problem as it was not cool when we were in the bed. The ceiling fan is over the couch. So it was cool ther.Very small bathroom. And the TV is a problem,. Hard to figure out. My husband lives to fall asleep with the TV on.So he had problem sleeping.

It is close to the Beach ⛱️ Had everything we needed . We had our dogs with us and it was convenient to walk them . The way the Cottages are situated makes it private.

The cable TV service was pretty in/out during our visit but not sure where the issue lies.

Nestled within a short walk between the beach and the inter coastal waterway, restaurants, shopping and a park. Convenient but quite.

The sofa bed wasn't brilliant, the porch area needed a good sweep which we did ourselves. The lawn moving & leaf blowing were done at about 9am. I'm an early riser but still like some peace at breakfast time. The gardener then continued doing quieter tasks, it would have seemed sensible to swap the duties around.

These quirky 1940s cottages are very well located & lovingly kept. The garden area is gorgeous & full of wildlife, access to beach and on foot access to plenty of places to eat. The main bed was supremely comfortable & the period full sized kitchen useful.

This is a nice quiet place about 3 blocks from the beach and walking distance to restaurants and shopping areas. The owner and manager were accessible and willing to help with questions we had.

There were additional paperwork to be done before receiving an entrance code to the cottage what was a problem for us when we were traveling across Florida and having challenges with wi fi and problems with making scan of documents. A guarantee fee in case of any damages is also very high. The time to get it back was mentioned as up to 10 days what is not a default situation on a short-term rent market.

The owner was a very nice and helpful person. She provided us with very detail information about the cottage and neighborhood, recommended cheap shopping malls. It was a surprise to receive a gift waiting for us in a cottage - beach bag. There were also surfboards in the cottage which my kids could use what was a very important benefit for us. Excellent wi fi. Very good place to work remotely. Everything is very close (beach, stores, restaurants).

The bathroom door didn't shut all the way, but I'm guessing it was for ventilation purposes.

Our stay was so pleasant and relaxing. The property is clean and beautiful. The cottage was so cute and well equipped. The bed was amazingly comfy too. Everything was nearby and convenient. Will definitely stay again.

We had no issues. The property was very well kept and well lit at night. The “cottage enclave” atmosphere was just what we needed.

it was quaint & quite. Very clean. Loved being able to breakfast on the lovely screened porch and the courtyard Christmas lights were the perfect touch. The on-site laundry facilities were just a few steps away. The area felt safe and close to shops and eateries. We walked to several places after dark without concern.
