The sea lions on the jetty were very loud and kept us awake through the night. In hindsight, we shouldn’t have chosen the river view room. The bar closed earlier than advertised, but this was likely due to it being a quiet Monday evening.

A unique location. It felt like a treat!! The room was spotlessly clean, view was beautiful.

Arriving very late at night 2am my time, I didn't notice the blanket rolled up and tucked in a side table. On cool nights maybe it should be in a more prominent spot, or a brighter color than dark brown. I kicked myself in the morning for shivering all night and not being more proactive...should have looked around more thoroughly. Glad I will be back in a few days. Will do it right. The complementary drink was much appreciated!

The Delta King is a charming one of a kind stay. For lovers of history like me, being able to step back in time makes the experience very memorable. So appreciate the staff. Especially the friendly ones.

Door to room was a little hard to shut/open. The room was also a little noisy with the air and people outside.

Excellent location for walking distance to Golden 1. Sitting on the deck and watching the sea lions while having a drink was fun.

The seal lions barking all night on the river definitely affected sleep. But that was charming in its own right.

Historic classic place on the river. At check in you get a free welcome drink in the bar.

Back in 2013 I was going to plan an event here and it didn't go well with the manager or the coordinator of this place and I walked out after being totally disrespected and having $100 deposit that was never returned to me, but I thought to myself, it's my anniversary and I'll give it another shot because maybe it's different people and who knows... At check in the gentleman who checked us in had a slight attitude. We showed up about 20 minutes early and asked if the room happened to be ready and he told us no it was still being cleaned but we could do paperwork ahead of time and gave us the complimentary drink form. The entire exchange he gave off a very annoyed vibe and energy which was uncomfortable. He told us he would call me when the room was ready at 4 Pm. At 4:15 we still had not received a call so we went down to check back and he told us he just gave us a different room because ours wasn't ready. I don't understand why our original room wasn't ready when he said it was being cleaned when we first got there. we were moved to a lower level room. The room door would not open. You have to use the key 4 or 5 times just to get it to open and when you would put the handle the whole thing would lift and almost come off. Then the door itself wouldn't pull open and the same thing from the inside, it didn't want to let you out. None of the windows opened which made the rooms very hot so no actual air flow was possible. The shower curtain had mold spots. Be prepared to be in a tight space so if you are claustrophobic, I don't recommend it. The shower is a VERY tight space you cannot turn around. This bed is uncomfortable but I have definitely slept in worse hotel beds so I won't complain about that. They don't offer free breakfast like most places but they do discount it.

Upon checking in, they give you a complimentary drink for the bar if you have to wait for your room, which is nice. The bar tenders were super friendly and helped us save a ton by letting us know that parking in front from 10 Pm to 10 Am is FREE! The feeling of the bar/restaurant gave me Titanic vibes. We loved all the sea lions that were outside, we got the river view room. They talked to each other all night long so be prepared for that! The view of the bridge was beautiful but it rained the night we stayed so we couldn't go out and enjoy it unfortunately.

The bathroom is a little outdated with a clawfoot shower. The blanket was skimpy--I had to keep the heat cranked in order to be warm enough at night. Two hour street parking from 10 PM to 10 AM, so if you arrive earlier you either have to park in the lot a couple of blocks away or use valet parking -- when I drove up there was not a valet in sight.

The Delta King has a charming nautical vibe and staff are friendly and helpful. The location could not be better with views of either the river or Old Sacramento. I ate dinner one night in the restaurant--good clam chowder and excellent service; my table had a nice river view.

The wall is pretty thin and not really sound proof. We were staying in the room next to the reception and can hear people walking by and/or when they are talking loud near the reception.

The idea of the boat hotel was special and the location was very convenient. We also got a welcoming drink for my boyfriend’s birthday stay

The sea lions that barked all night! Why are there sea lions in the Sacramento River?! And the room was small but it's on a boat so that was to be expected.

Loved the location, the experience. Something different than staying in some boring hotel.

The property was okay they need to work on the ADA buttons and having the doors open better as a person with disability it was challenging to get the door open and the ramp leading to the hotel is very crack and got some dips that I almost tripped on. Our room was very dusty.

I liked the area it was great staying on the boat a couple of the staff were so friendly and helpful.

The mattress was thin and sank a bit in the middle. The water in the shower was tepid at best.

This historic riverboat has been beautifully restored and reimagined into a boutique hotel. The gorgeous wood paneling in the public rooms is amazing, and we loved viewing the historic memorabilia. The cabins, though small, are nicely appointed.
