Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

United StatesPaying for parking. Receptionist Kate had a horrible attitude. It was extremely off putting. The first thing she told my husband and I “booking is horrible”. Doing her job seemed to really bother her and she had no issue showing it.
The pool was nice. The rooms were spacious.

United StatesPaying for parking is ridiculous, the breakfast buffet is not much of a buffet for $25. I just wanted to purchase a coffee and was told I needed to pay $25 for the buffet to get a coffee. Also the sofa in our room was very stained.
The property was clean, the pool was great and the beds are comfortable.

United StatesThe one working elevator took forever. The breakfast Buffet for $25 is not worth the price. They served the same breakfast you can get at a holiday inn for free. Also some condiments you have to ask the staff for instead of it being out. One of the front desk workers was very rude when I asked if I can use a pair of scissors. They declined this request.
The location was great for where we needed to be and was very clean.

United StatesSo, on the booking.com website, we booked a “King” room. The description said that there was one double, one extra-large double two plus a sofa bed. This was important because there are four of us, and my husband and son are both over 6 feet tall and it doesn’t work for my two sons to share the sofa bed. When we got there, we were told that the King room was a king and a sofa bed. The other option was a room with two queens, which is what we ended up having to pick. It would be nice if the description was a little more clear next time. They did comp us for the parking fees, which was nice.
Overall, a pleasant stay. There were some people making noise down below near the pool, but they quieted down once my husband called the front desk twice as well as the area closing down for the night.

There was a hole between the bathtub and the wall; when I washed in the shower, water leaked through and everything flowed out into the corridor onto the carpet. The taps were leaking and as a result there was a yellow stain of water in the bathroom. The bathroom fixtures are rusty. I am attaching a photo so that I will not be suspected of deception. Never set foot in Hilton again

The Elevators looked a little old, as well as the hallways; it looks like they need a little freshening up.

I liked the pool area and the available space for leisure outside around the pool. I did appreciate the friendly staff and hospitality workers.
