Real Bookers. Real stays. Real opinions.
Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United StatesI think this place has a cute concept however for $300 a night the screens have holes the mosquito netting over the bed has holes and the doors have holes the back door has a 2 inch gap that does not close even when the little lock is latched so nothing is kept out from coming in I get its the Everglades bugs are bad but maintaining the screens and even the netting over the bed should be a priority. The linens are really old they look like they've been slept on several times. The drapes that come down inside are completely see through and dirty for the price I think things should be maintained better in my opinion it's all the bare minimum I could've slept in my tent for a lot less and had more privacy and less bug bites. I would come back to tent camp but not stay in the Chickees at that price.
The staff is super friendly and welcoming. The view of the sunsets and stars at night are breathtaking

United StatesFor the price I paid I was expecting to stay under an enclosed roof. I knew about the screened in sides, but there were large gaps in the palm roofing that allowed lots of bugs and critters in. I was expecting lots of bugs and critters outside, but not inside the almost $200+/night cottage. Additionally, the door had a latch on the inside that was not functional, so I had to move my suitcase in front of the door to provide some sense of security that something wouldn't just fling the door open while I was sleeping. The listing mentioned the cottage would have A/C - it did not. The bathroom is a camping bathroom, which is fine - it was clean enough, but regular maintenance wasn't done during my time there. Over the 3 days I was there there was an empty paper towel holder that wasn't refilled. Towels provided had lizard poop on them when I arrived - was glad I brought some of my own.
Gorgeous area. Easy access. Bug net around bed. Bed was comfortable.

United StatesAll of the windows needed work. They are hard to open. There was a hole in the roof if it rained , yikes! The floors were dirty and the bedspreads looked so old. I heard it's been in the family for generations so if the place has been around for awhile it needs some TLC. We really like it there. Price was too high without any upgrades.
I really like the concept of these bungalows, I love the Tikki huts. A few more chairs. The deck was so dried up and weathered. The bottom step of our hut is not even with the others and it's dangerous for others. Just looking out for others. It was nice to have shower supplies.

United States3rd party booking was not straight forward, and it seemed a tad expensive.
It was a nice quiet rustic Hut at the edge of a swamp. Good for someone who wants to unplug from the world without trekking deep into the woods. Simple screen Hut offered shelter and privacy, and huts are spaced out enough to provide your own little private area. Heard gators nearby, saw a number of birds, utilized the fire pit to cook breakfast and dinner. Kind helpful staff. Lucked out with quiet, respectful neighbors.

United StatesHuts too close together, no feeling of wilderness. Clearly heard everything going on in the next hit, very unpleasant.
There was only a metal and mesh love seat in the room along with the bed. Mosquito net had holes. No place to put suitcases. Towels very thin. Nice view, that’s the only positive. Evening staff person was helpful.

Very picturesque beautiful sunset view over the saw grass. Staff was very attentive to come and fix a broken screen door. Exactly what we expected from internet pictures.
