the restaurant was closed, no staff to run it and same with the bar. would have been nice not to have to go somewhere else. by the way, if you're a bartender, they need one.

it seemed to be an older room but kept very clean. It had a comfortable feel. Enrique was very informative, and his choice for dinner was spot on. z the best area but not the worst. they had a short open walk path a long the water and a couple docks, wish I would have packed a pole. Did I mention they had a couple nice picnic tables but beware of all the ducks and ducklings. all in all, great place , good staff easy access any direction.

Hot Tub was not functioning like expected (low power jets). We also planned on having dinner in house on our first night but staff did not show so both the bar and restaurant was not open. On our second night the bar was open but very understaffed and service was marginal. In fairness this was hotel's fault, not the single bartender that was working. She had to look after at least 30 patrons on her own. Also, we were warned several times that the area had a bad reputation for break-ins to vehicles so that did not make us feel comfortable. Is there not security watching client's vehicles?

Coast Guard Island across the water likes to wake everyone up with a bugle call. It was startling!

The waterfront balcony was an unexpected gem, with beautiful views and (mostly) peaceful atmosphere. The hotel bar had wine by the glass that was pleasant.

The noise from the freeway was terrible and ruined our stay. Please let folks know they need to rent the Bayside rooms or don't stay at hotel.

Breakfast was supposed to be a buffet, however, when i think of a buffet I imagine several different options. This buffet had typical continental breakfast options like cold cereal and fruit, an unappetizing pan of gritty looking eggs that I'm assuming were powdered, and a pan of grey sausage patties. We ended up walking a half mile down the road to Starbucks. The bathroom was in need of some love. There were several floor tiles that were broken or coming out of the floor, and it looks like grout repairs were attempted but they just look sloppy and unprofessional. There's no door or curtain on half the shower, so the floor ends up covered in water by the time you're done showering. The fire sprinkler in the bathroom was very rusty. The pool/hot tub area, while clean, is outdoors with no canopy. We wanted to enjoy the pool and hot tub, but it was raining and cold out, so it wasn't very comfortable to be out there. The location of the hotel is not within reasonable walking distance of any shops or restaurants (other than Starbucks and a Ramen place). If you don't like driving in the city and prefer to walk everywhere, this is not the place to stay. It's located in an industrial type area, and doesn't feel particularly safe. Spend the extra few bucks to get a room with a water view. The other side of the hotel looks out onto the parking lot, a graffitied overpass, a busy freeway, and train tracks.

The bed was very comfortable and the room was clean. The water view was pretty, and location next to the water front walking trail provided a great opportunity for some much needed exercise after being stuck in the car for 4 hours. The small pool area was clean, and the hot tub temperature was good. For those with the interest, there is a very large cannabis dispensary located right across the street.

The fire alarm went off in the morning! I called the front desk and there was no answer. Many went down the stairs and they said it went off on the second floor. We could go back to our rooms.

We could hear everything that was going on in the hallway. The restaurant was more of a canteen. Where you order and then fetch the plates when their ready. Also, the whole atmosphere was more of a 'we put tables in a room, so now it's a restaurant' kind of thing than a comfortable 'i want to stay and eat here' vibe.

The accommodation is very good accessible right next to the highway. The room was specious. Check-in was quick, and parking lots were right in front of the hotel. Beds were comfortable.
