there was a horrible smell in the room I don’t know if it was from the pipes or what but it was not good… The location is good, it has to be known that it’s the commercial zone, there is a lot of movement and transportation is easy from there but there are homeless and maybe in some situations you don’t feel safe, but if you go carefully it’s ok

The bar was closed, and the heaters in the rooms weren't working. I'm glad I took a blanket.

The location was excellent. The room was very clean and cozy. Very accommodating, especially since I was super early for check in. I loved the authenticity of the vintage decor.

The rooms are clean but there was accumulation of dust in some places. Also, it would be nice and more environmental if the breakfast used more reusable plates and cutlery instead of all disposable.

The staff are phenomenal, good full breakfast with bacon and eggs. Cute cozy rooms. Close to shopping, main attractions and transit.

The bathroom is very small: understandable given the age of the hotel and in itself not a massive problem but the shower really needs a closing door rather than a shower curtain, which, due to the force of the water and bathroom fan, was forever blowing in and clinging to us as we were showering. The shower head could do with something a little more gentle and greater manoeuvrability as the extreme water pressure actually made showering uncomfortable and difficult to pump the soap, shampoo and conditioner. The breakfast was fairly basic and although we understand things have changed since COVID, the paper plates and flimsy plastic cutlery (which bent, snapped and were virtually useless if any kind of downward pressure was required), really are dreadful to have to use in an otherwise very nice hotel.

We very much enjoyed our stay at Executive Hotel Vintage Court. All the staff were very friendly and helpful and we were allocated a lovely corner room with large windows (including a bay window with a sizeable ledge where we were able to conveniently place our luggage), a huge cupboard with room safe, iron and ironing board, fridge, sizeable desk and chair. The room itself was very large and really had some nice vintage features. The bed and pillows were comfortable and everything was nice and clean. The lobby lounge area is very appealing and the decor and art work on the walls in the public areas are all very nicely done. The hotel also has a terrific, very central location and is only a short walk to a couple of different cable car stops. There are also a number of decent restaurants and eateries in the vicinity. All-in-all an excellent place to stay on a visit to San Francisco!

The property is a fairly old SF building. Many of the reviews that I read on here about how it was refurbished may well have been true, but let’s just say that if I had refurbished the place I would have done it to 2024 standards not to 2003 standards. It has a dated look and feel to it. Having said that, the sheets were lovely and clean, as were the towels. The carpets have a certain odour which is not particularly welcoming. The included breakfast was, I would say, fair. It had been readied by 7 am as stated. There were scrambled eggs and bread and other items to choose from the buffet and everything was abundant. One note to management: I know that you Americans love begging for tips all the time! Leaving a tip jar for the breakfast (where no staff were on hand) is BEYOND tacky. Stop the begging. The hotel stay is not cheap and I’m sure your staff are appropriately paid. Explain to me: why would anybody tip anonymous servers that were not even present? Why would anyone tip someone for doing their job, anyway? It’s infuriating to even such begging and is de-classé. You are not a Motel 6 in the middle of a red light district. Comport yourselves accordingly.

A bit too much street noise but manageable with earplugs and got used to it eventually.

Comfortable beds, clean rooms, not a lot of noise transfer between rooms.
