To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.

When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

United States of AmericaAir conditioner was extremely loud in our room. They use iPads for service requests and ours was programmed to the room next door so our room service order went back to the kitchen and was delivered back cold. Called in breakfast order and it was delicious!
Staff was wonderful and overall it was a wonderful short stay. The spa treatments were great! Enjoyed the lobby bar and lunch at Fig was terrific.

Cayman IslandsThe spa is nothing to write home about for a property of this calibre and the pool area can get cramped when it's busy - we managed to find chairs when we went but others weren't so lucky. And the suites need balconies!
The hotel is in a brilliant location and service is incredibly friendly and attentive. We chose a suite to have space for our two kids and it worked really well. The ocean view from the windows was stunning - just a shame this section of the hotel doesn't have balcony's to enjoy though! The restaurants are brilliant - from the coffee shop for early morning coffees and pasties to the restaurant serving brunch on weekends the pool area serving food and drinks. Guest services were super helpful finding bike rentals for us and we used the street car to get a ride back from the beach - much easier than carrying the kids up the hill! We loved walking everywhere from the hotel. Would definitely stay here again!

United States of AmericaI have to ding on the facilities - the elevators were a disaster all weekend (we got an apology letter but nothing else), the phone needed assistance to work, the iPad didn’t work at all, and the entire place could use a refresh if we’re honest. Also, the pool area closes too early — 8 PM in the summer?
I liked the hot tub. Arianna was nice. The food was decent. Location unbeatable. Beds were comfy. The beach area is great!
