We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

United StatesQuality isn't cheap these days but then again what is? Expensive but it's probably the best service you can get in Seattle.
Everyone from the porter and the doorman to the front desk to the spa staff were kind and considerate in typical 4 seasons fashion. Very polite, very professional. Make you feel at home when you're traveling which is very nice. You get what you pay for but it sure ain't cheap.

United StatesFood was average, though we only had breakfast and late night soup on arrival. Could use hooks by shower door to hang robe/towel. We were there at xmas and hoped for more seasonal flare, but that did not affect our experience one way or the other. I could never get signed onto the app. I did not book thru F.S. which seems to have been the problem as my email and phone number were not recognized. I am sure front desk could have sorted in no time, so not a big deal, just FYI re user interface.
Staff was exceptional. Macaroons in the room were a nice touch. Enjoyed the hot tub and fire pit. My daughter was surprised by and excited about the proper afternoon tea setup she received! Wine options were good.

BelgiumThere were some initial difficulties with processing a payment from a European credit/debit card. I explained how I did this before in NYC, but they didn’t want to try this. This unfortunately delayed our check in after a long flight. The next day we tried exactly what I explained and it worked.

United StatesOur check in was a mess. - The font desk is not labelled. - When we got there, there was nobody staffing it. We mulled around until somebody took pity on us and asked how we were doing. Did not like the fact that hotel guests could not get dinner reservation. We had to compete with the public and residents.
The room service folk were excellent. The bar tender(s) were amazing. The concierge folk were fantastic.

Puerto RicoWas not aware of th 3rd Ave issues in Seattle. At night, the area around the hotel looked very empty and although I avoided the problematic area, I did not feel safe. Nothing to do with the hotel and property, but feeling safe is part of the full experience.
