Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

CanadaThere's less interaction with other people staying because each room is separate and the shared lounge in the basement is like an employee break room and with 4 tables. Not the typical hostel I know and more of a hotel but still was a good choice for an affofable few nights.
The location was walking distance to bus stops and metro plus a shopping mall and other stores. The four-bedroom beds have individual lights, locker in the room and was clean. 24h front desk and nice workers.

United KingdomThe area could be sketchy at night. If you are not used to seeing the homeless and the smell of weed.
Comfortable designer dormitory with like-minded international travellers. Easy transport to all of LA and near to art, fashion district, cafe, restaurants, supermarket and shopping malls. 30 mins Uber to the Hollywood sign around $28. I would stay again and great service!

United States of AmericaCovers were very thin. No privacy screens as previously stated in the booking. Only one large towel given in locker, had to ask for more.
Very walkable in terms of food, shopping.etc. Roof top bar was amazing! Fridge and microwave in lounge. Staff was nice and accommodating, I switched rooms to get a lower bunk bed. Would stay again.

AustraliaTop bunk bed was hard to get into - toilet was in the one bathroom, not separate so was difficult when staying with 3 other people who needed to shower/use the bathroom. shampoo, conditioner & body wash weren’t included. Cleaner left a bag of dirty towels in our room. Was told my deposit would be refunded immediately but has now been 12 hours.
Had a cool vibe and was nice overall

United KingdomThe area was slightly sketchy. Often we felt uncomfortable just outside the hostel. Could’ve been more cooking facilities for those staying in the hostel
Private bathroom was high quality and very clean. Beds were also comfy and reasonably private.

AustraliaIn the quadruple room the bunkbeds were quite uncomfortable and very creaky. Although we had heating we were only given one thin blanket. We could have done with a kettle to make tea.
Wonderful historical building with New York vibe. Beautifully restored and decorated. Good location for downtown. Staff were great.

BrazilMy roomates were very noisy. One seemed to be drunk, and in the first room I was offered the person seemed to have used some type of drug and was not in good mood, so I asked to change room, and was immediately attended.

SwitzerlandUnfortunately there is no common room except the lobby which is a public bar at the same time. The wifi works semi well. The floors could be cleaned better, especially the carpertm, otherwise clean (toilet, bed, etc.). No hair dryer, sheets are very thin (just a linen, no duvet)
Stay in a Quad Room was good, spacious bathroom. Generally clean room, locker for each bed. Towels are available, room gets cleaned daily. The rooftop is very nice. Location good for public transport. Food at the Exchange is very tasty, and the Coffee bar makes a mean Flat White.

Chileone night a man came inside our female only room. It was a mistake at the reception. Next day when I complained the guy in reception did not showed to be emphatic neither described interest on apologies or compensation. He did not describe the hotel would take actions to avoid it in the future, such as retraining of staff. At the check out time they say I would be reimbursed for one night but I have not received more information since 09Mar2024.

United States of AmericaWindows haven’t been upgraded from the original single pane so we were woken up to a lady singing and playing “a drum” early in the AM. Interesting to say the least. Also, it seemed we were on the edge of maybe the not so great part of town.
Loved the way this hotel has been renovated, very cool feel. Rooms were clean and had everything we needed
