Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United States of AmericaGreat location very walkable! Our room was quiet even though the hotel is on a busy street. It even has a pool.

United States of AmericaPerfect location in the heart of the French Quarter. My room looked exactly like the photos - it was so cute! I loved the courtyard, which provided a nice calm oasis in the otherwise chaotic French Quarter. The staff were all very kind and helpful. I will definitely choose the French Market Inn the next time that I’m in NOLA.

TurkeyThe reason it is not a 10 and 9: I think it is a safety issue due to the window structure of the building but I would like to have a window that could have been opened. The room I chose was with window and I had beautiful natural light, but it does not open. Now to be fair, unlike a previous bad experience, I never felt stuffed in the room, their air-conditioning system was great. But I just love fresh air.
This hotel is situated in a street very close to famous French Quarter, that I walked everywhere but, it was also very quiet. Also, I felt quite secure as a female solo traveller. The personnel was great. Responsive and helpful. I stood in the petite queen room with a window, and it had all the things I needed. Room was beautifully decorated, the hotel had a lovely courtyard too. You could enjoy your book with a coffee there. Nice choice of soaps, I liked it. Confy bed. Highly recommended.

United States of AmericaI did not like that they do not tell you how much parking is going to be or that there is a 100 dollar deposit.
I loved the location it was within walking distance to all major attractions and in a well lit area.

United States of AmericaThere was no elevator to the 2nd floor in the wing that I was staying, not a big deal but would be a problem for people with large suitcases.
Excellent WiFi (free)- had a 3 hour zoom meeting with video screen share- no issues. Fantastic location- a few blocks from Bourbon street, close but less people noise. There were a couple of really loud honking from the cruise boats on the river nearby in the night. Fantastic local brewery next door.

United States of AmericaThere’s not much to complain about. The toilet was broken. Sometimes wouldn’t flush and you have to lift the lid and go that way. Would be nice to have breakfast but I’m sure the price wouldn’t be so reasonable
We loved this hotel. Quiet, clean, comfortable and the most ideal location. Everything was a very short walk away. Even closer than the closed down hotel we used to stay

United States of AmericaIt would be nice to have at least one mirror in the room, rather than just a mirror in the bathroom. Two people could then dress at same timr
Hotel is conveniently located near French Quarter and downtown attractions. The rooms are very comfortable, and the hotel itself is a good size for a comfortable stay. Hotel is also quite attractive.

GermanyAlthough we booked the petite room, it was smaller than what we expected. Also, we couldn't open the window for some fresh air which is very common in many hotels.
Beautiful building and room with traditional architecture and stylish furniture. Our room was also very quiet. The hotel is very centraly located which is perfect for exploring the French Quarter on foot. The Mississippi River is right across the road and also lots of cafes and restaurants are close by.
