If you’re gluten free like me breakfast is limited to hard boiled eggs and fresh fruit, but you can get anything you need at Whole Foods on 28th Street. Love the quiet of this hotel and its understatedness. And I walk 7 miles average a day - perfect location for my NyC needs

The bed is hard. If you like a firm mattress - this is the place for you. A pillow top would have been nice and taken it to the next level.

Wonderfully large space for a hotel in NYC. A nice view from the hotel and an easy continental breakfast int he morning. Nicely located near where we needed to be. Safe and welcoming.

Such a shame that the wine and cheese happy hour no longer takes place. Without it the hotel doesn’t feel quite so special. In its absence need better range of snacks in foyer

The elevator took quite a long time, especially around 9-11am

It could probably do with a refresh. We really missed the wine and cheese afternoon reception they had on our previous visit in 2014.

We stayed at Hotel Giraffe nine years ago and chose to return as it was familiar and we thought with our young children it would be a great choice with it’s proximity to the 6 Subway line and surrounding attractions.

It was overall a dark room in the suite sitting area. I really wanted better lighting. I often sat by the window in the bedroom to have some natural light. A single dark wall would have been much more inviting rather than the entire room. It made it a little cave-like. I also wished the bedroom door would have stayed open. It was a challenge with the closet door. They often banged together. The tv in the bedroom did not work but I don't watch much tv and did not report it.

We booked a suite. The space was much appreciated from other New York stays in closet sized rooms. The bed was large and with comfortable linens. The sitting area was comfortable. The bathroom was well appointed with good lighting. There was ample room to move around the room. The closet storage was good. The lounge area on the top floor was welcoming and well tended. The room was quiet.

There was no mini bar in the room nor an on premises lounge where you could purchase a night cap.

The location was optimal for a variety of activities. I enjoyed the spaciousness of our accommodations and the breakfast that was included. The staff was very friendly and helpful.

We explore a new neighborhood each trip to nyc and didn’t love how few late night options are in NoMad area. Not the hotel’s fault. Wish there were a gym in hotel. Paying top dollar for a balcony king suite, I had hoped the balcony would at least fit a small chair.

Hotel Giraffe is small and quaint. The staff was familiar with every guest. Perfect location for a quiet stay. We walked to the theater, shopping and dinner.

Due to a very central location, it was a little noisy (noise from the street) early in the morning.

The room was cosy, clean, quite big, with a lot of storage, drinking water available. Every morning there was a breakfast available in the lobby, which was included in the price, and also snacks /soft drinks/coffe available throughout the day. Nice terrace on the top floor if you need extra space to chill out. Fantastic location.
