Real Bookers. Real stays. Real opinions.
Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United StatesThere was no central heat, and the space heaters tripped the circuit breakers, so we couldn't use them or the electric fireplace. There were plenty of blankets, though. There were also lots of stairs! Since the development is hillside, which is part of its beauty, we had a lot of stairs to climb to get to our unit. The Internet at the unit was up and down constantly. It made it hard to use streaming services. Even around town, cell signals kept coming and going. We just used our phones for pictures and enjoyed our weekend together :)
It was a beautiful location with amazing views. Just the development alone was stunning! The decor was all in theme and very cute! Having a golf cart was a definite plus since Avalon is over the hill. Off of the balcony we saw seals, dolphins, a bald eagle, and while driving through we saw deer and a fox. All of the wildlife added to the charm. We didn't have time to use the amenities, but the development had a pool, hot tub, and tennis courts. The community is quiet and perfect for a relaxing trip! We look forward to using the amenities and going down to the beach on our next visit!

United StatesIt’s a little far from town but the cab had no trouble finding it. A lot of stairs though. It was chilly during our stay and with fireplace heater on and a space heater in the 2nd bedroom going the breaker would pop. Also with the fridge on and the toaster on the same circuit that breaker popped. Needs some electrical work. Check out time is way too early and you want $200 for a late check out? And $200 for a cleaning fee? The 2nd bed has a giant space between the headboard and mattress so that the pillows kept falling into the hole.
We loved the view and the unit was very well decorated. Liked having a cart to run into town in. An option for insurance would have been nice.

United StatesThe coffee pot didn't work, and there was no tea kettle, but the host is remedying that!
The location was spectacular, as was the view! You need to be prepared to use the (included) golf cart to go into town for dinner and/or groceries

United StatesThe men's sauna was not working, and also hot tub was out of service, very disappointing for us to be paying this much money for these 2 advertised features to be broken and would like to have used.
Couldn't have been better

United StatesAdd discusses sleeps 6. 2 have to sleep on the sofa bed, which was not made up and was pretty dirty when we opened it. We just slept on top of the sofa. Also, I was unaware there were so many flights of stairs to the unit; it was quite a chore for this old man to climb.
Beautiful suite and views.

United StatesThe only 'hiccup' that we had was slight confusion about gas level in the golf cart, which had a faulty fuel gauge. We drove miles to a gas station only to realize that the gas container was in fact full and the sensor was faulty. I don't think that's uncommon in golf carts. Overall a smile gripe - great experience overall.
The location had one of the most beautiful views of Catalina I've seen. The condo accommodates two couples and a baby pretty easily. The included golf cart was a great feature, especially because the location is a good distance from Avalon. We'd return.

United StatesNo AC need more powerful fans or ceiling fans. The water pressure in the shower was low. Ants were present. Keeping the doors and windows open throughout the night was a safety hazard since it was extremely hot, was the biggest problem for me. No instructions for the golf cart,Gas fillup or charging. No access to Landry services on property.
Location was wonderful, the golf cart a plus, the residence was beautiful nicely decorated, plenty of space.

United StatesCustomer service was very poor! We took a taxi from the ferry terminal. The owner of the flat did not submit the forms on time for the security guard to let us in. We waited 30 minutes in the cab. This cost us an extra $50 and a waste of our time. The owner did not agree to pay us back the $50! She was very rude on the phone and this almost ruined my vacation!
The apartment was done in a nice way. A lot of lovely details for a pleasant stay.
