Had to ask for a 2nd bath towel since there was 2 of us. Breakfast was less than I expected. Staff didn't smile at all. Full of oilfield workers getting up early, honking their horns and leaving vehicles running for 30+ minutes. Bring earplugs.

The deceptive web site that funnels victims into a sense that they are booking a stay in Carlsbad CA but I paid by cc only to find out I was tricked no refunds on cancellations ,ya it isn newmexico not California .scam I want my money back

I felt kicked out, he came 15 mins before checkout and knocked on my door. He should've waited for me to come to the help desk. Other than that, it was good.

Pool has been out of order for years. Why? Other reviews said it was closed due to covid- it is now July 2023. Breakfast poor selection.

Loved that the room was quiet- I didn’t hear anyone else, nor any traffic.

At night the internet connection kept dropping us. In he morning it was fine, so it was almost as if it couldn't handle the load at night. It would be nice if the breakfast bar had a couple of more options.

We weren't given any information for internet login and breakfast hours. We had a late check-in and thankfully we had made a reservation because the speaker at the side office kiosk didnt work so we probably couldn't ask for a room if we had to (and the worker shut my husband's hand in the sliding door).

Room was clean and the bed was comfortable. Location was convenient for us. The property was quiet and well-kept.

The first shower I took and the drain was clogged. The fridge looked beat up but still functioned. Basic microwave with no rotating plate. Lighting is poor in the room with plenty of dark spots.

Beds are extremely comfortable. T.V. has satellite, Direct T.V., with cable channels, HBO, and Cinemax. The AC window unit is turn knob and looked dated back to the 90s but was still efficient. The housekeeper kept the room tidy and wasn't a kleptomaniac.

Fan made noises. Couldn't sleep. AC kept shutting off. Was hot and uncomfortable.

The room we were in had a good size fridge and the bed was actually very good. The microwave was challenging to open and not in an ideal location. The fixtures were "older" and could use an upgrade. One of the plugs in the receptacle tripped the GFI no matter what you plugged in. The other was fine. It would be nice if the light in the bathroom was independent from the one by the sink... like in other rooms.

The bed was actually ideal. Firm but not a board. It is evident that the folks running the Great Western are doing some upgrades. We had family in another room that was well appointed, comfortable, and made our room seem a bit "dated". The breakfast was waffles, muffins, toast, and cereal. There was juice and coffee. Not a spectacular spread, but OK.

Really old building and rooms. Pool and hot tub not available for use. Bare minimum on continental breakfast. Microwave was filthy.

Safe location, beds comfortable. Had a refrigerator and microwave.
