Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

United StatesI hated that it took me over an hour to check in the facility. I had prepaid for the stay and I had a reservation on my phone with some strange number and they had my money under a different name and number. It was hell! I would not leave the front desk until this was straightened out. The manager finally came out and found the issue on the computer. This was the fault of Booking.com.

United StatesThe breakfast area got a bit messy, but this was more due to messy guests than incompetent staff. This is the issue with most hotels, but the luggage carts are flimsy and difficult to steer.
The front desk and breakfast staff were friendly and kind. The room was very spacious. The breakfast was convenient, and the location worked great for our weekend plans. We slept comfortably on the beds. We loved the fact that the soap and lotion that they provided was in refillable container, rather than one-use packaging. More hotels should do this. We also loved the fact that there was always coffee and hot water in the lobby - thank you!

United StatesThey do not accept cards to pay for items from the hotel, we had no cash. Told to go to Exxon across the street for ATM. They were closed! Had to drive 2 miles to get to ATM. My son had horrible heartburn and had to wait an extra 30+ mins to get relief=( Also, have to request clean towels and sheets. Not just given now.
Spacious room! Amazing continental breakfast! Super friendly and helpful staff. 10 mins to Busch Gardens and Water Country USA=) And even closer to Colonial Williamsburg!
