This is a small privately owned business, conveniently located off the only highway in the region. It's a humble laid back place, not fancy, no frills. I've stayed here 3 times because it's usually the cheapest hotel in that area. Beds/pillows are good, rooms are clean. Bathrooms are small and repairs are evident. There is almost no room for anything around the sink because that's also where the coffee maker sits. There is a fridge and microwave located awkwardly in an open closet area. BUT this place totally suits our needs! WiFi, smart TV, very friendly staff. The surroundings are beautiful; often see moose nearby. You do need your own transportation and there are good places to eat, as well as a grocery store down the road. At first glance the price looks high for what you're getting...but then you see how expensive other nearby options are...and this place becomes MORE than satisfactory. I always look here first for lodging in the Healy/Denali Natl Park area.

If you believe an advertisement, it is a cabin style hotel. It is actually nothing like that. It's a long modular building with the bunch of rooms and doors. The bathroom was so small with the toilet seat squeezed in so tight that I felt like my knees were right up against my eyes. Pillows were like bricks.

The accommodation is conveniently located off of the hwy, very easy to find. There is a restaurant very close by that serves dinners, after all day in the park it was very nice to have a decent meal. Bed was comfortable enough, but not pillows. Soundproofing was good. And there was a picnic table outside that we used to sit and unwind, after a long day in the park.

The location is best. It has a near by lake with mountain view. 15 min drive to Denali Park makes it perfect.

The rooms are basic, practical grade, but comfortable. The electric heat is responsive. The sound isolation between rooms was good; guests were on both sides, and we didn't hear a thing. The rooms have a coffee maker, a small refrigerator, and a microwave.

The rooms are a little bit dated. Plus I never like having the sink outside of the bathroom. Other than that everything is perfect, especially for the price at that location.

Clean and plenty big motel style room. Location is in driving distance to Denali Park entrance and all the little stores and restaurants at the park. Walking distance to Otto Lake in Healy. The price is great for that location in the summer.

It is mostly my bad that I did not compare the hotel’s detail location on the map. I somehow thought the place was right next to the Denali Park entrance but it was actually a 20-minute drive.

Nothing beats the magnificent view of the Denali mountains. Hotel staff was accommodating and friendly. Room is small but equipped with all essentials. Groceries and restaurants are nearby.

We chose this hotel because it was a little cheaper that others closer to the train station and we were traveling on a budget. I asked about transportation when making the reservation and was told we could use a ride share. When we got there we learned that there were no Uber or Lyft services, nor public transportation. The only service was the Denali Shuttle that charged us $80 each way. With the $160 we paid in transportation the price was more than it would have been to stay at one of the resorts that offered transfer service to the train station. Also, there is only one restaurant within walking distance from the hotel. I feel that this would be important information for the hotel to share.

The room was clean and we felt safe. The towels were adequate. There was coffee in the room as well as in the lobby. Love the lobby in the train car!
