Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United StatesI didn't like even though we may have been out of line my wife and I did have a spat and caused a disturbance we were never given a warning or phone call just asked to leave and were left to the street with no questions asked. Again we were out of line but we did leave some personal belongings and even new clothes and hunting and fishing gear they did not want to give anything back. After looking at the charges to our room their was a charge for $500 for damages even if only a drawer that was screwed shut I thought was a useable drawer looking for my things I forcibly opened which had 2 small screws holding not sure that 2 screws pays for a whole dresser which was already broken hence the screws in the first place?
The breakfast was satisfactory greeter was kind and courteous although if ever did stay there again I would not have the breakfast included because it about the same price if you pay after the fact and if for some reason you don't make it for breakfast you won't be charged. And be ready to hear the Alaska railroad blaring at all times of the day and night no alarm clock needed.

United StatesIt was long travel day from Fairbank to Anchorage, would love to park the car and rest. Yet, have to find out on our own to park the car because there was No parking available at the hotel. Parking ($20) for overnight parking across the street. The counter employee lack of knowledge of the surrounding areas even the facility itself. So disappointed with the hotel.
I like the location and comfortable room.

SpainWe arrived to find incredibly loud drilling in the lobby, to the point where it was impossible to hear what the desk clerk was saying. The desk clerk tried to take payment from my booking.com linked card without asking if this was the correct payment method. The payment failed (as I never intended to use that card) and I had to call the bank, internationally, to reassure the fraud team that I was in fact in control of my faculties and money. She told me ‘you need to call booking.com, your payment has failed’. I handed over the card we actually wanted to use and explained that for it to work it needed the pin. She ignored that and the card was declined as it had been flagged as a suspicious transaction. We then had to call that bank to reassure the fraud team that we had not been scammed. I handed over my credit card and asked her to *please* just charge everything to that to avoid further complications. (When I checked later that afternoon there were two pending charges for the amount of the room - I went to reception to query this but again the same clerk simply did not have any answers or apologies, or even polite words, saying instead ‘nothing is showing here’). She then took $50 ‘for incidentals’ from the first card. I received no receipt for this myriad network of payments meaning that I stepped away from the desk unable to understand what I had paid and from where. I still haven’t received a receipt. The mind boggles. No apology, no polite words, just sullen and unwilling actions. When we went to the room the key card flashed green but the door would not open. The handle was broken. Security had to come and show us the right way to jiggle the handle. We asked if they could send maintenance to take a look and they said ‘it’ll be fine’. The room and beds were clean but in the bathroom there was dust and hair in the corners. There was a fridge in the room that looked like it had been attacked by a polar bear. It was scratched and dented. It was empty.
The beds were comfortable. The food from the restaurant downstairs was good. There is an ‘everything’ shop connected to the reception area for essentials. The security / bag guys are very helpful and give a great service - by far the high point of dealing with anybody at this hotel. We arrived at 12:30 and they had a room ready for us.

United StatesThe location was within a short walking distance from the homeless "tent city" at full capacity . Parking was a block away, no security and there was an additional parking charge per night. The room on the 12th floor had a large cutout opening in the wall under the window with mysterious questionable pellets of some sort. Housekeeping showed neglect in cleaning. There was no microwave, no refrigerator, 2 frayed bath towels, and offered only 1 cup of coffee for a party of 2 for a 2 night stay. When asked for a pen & writing pad to write a note, none was available anywhere in the entire hotel. This is not what I expect at $259 per night plus tax & additional charge for parking in an unsecure parking lot a block away. Overall, I would not recommend this place.
The lobby was impressive but everything else did not meet our expectations for. Hilton with a high rate.

United StatesStaff called me at 10 pm to see if I needed anything before checking out the next day. Woke us all, as our flight was leaving at 6 am. No air circulation in the room, fan on air conditioner does not work. Very light lighting in the room. No coffee pods in room other than the used one still in the coffee maker.
parking was across the street. They had room darkening curtains. Hotel staff brought us a box fan.

United Statesin room 1265, bathroom had a sticky substance on the floor in several spots under the sink, the door had a big ugly chip on the bottom; it needs painting. The bathroom had dirt and hair in the corners, shower floor needs scrubbing, it looks dingy and dirty and lastly the shower glass doors had noticeable water spots all over it. There was a tissue in the lobby by the elevator upon leaving for dinner, when I came back 2.5 hours later and it was still there.

United StatesThe bed shared a wall with the elevators and it was so loud all night. The elevators ran all night. Being right next to the elevators also meant loud people in and out of the hall all night too. This room was also a corner room so everything was just a little wonky and seemed small. Maybe would be better used as a storage space instead of guest room.

United StatesStaff did not answer phone calls to the front desk. Took several tries each time we needed help to reach someone. Customer service from Booking.com also had difficulty contacting the property. Most staff members were great but the manager, Lola, was rude and unhelpful. Did not even greet or welcome us to the hotel when we arrived. Began by saying right away we can not check in early and went on for several minutes before even asking us if we had a reservation. Very rude.

United StatesStayed 5 days. Lack of service of towels and coffee for the room. We had to ask for towels each day and never got them. Had to go downstairs 3 times to get them. I know it is COVID time and workers are short but a clean towel at the hotel room rate wasn’t to much to ask for. Didn’t care that the room wasn’t cleaned each day - that wasn’t a problem.
Only buffet breakfast available which was okay as far as buffet go.

United StatesThe room we stayed in had a leaking window, so we heard "drip drip drip" all night. It wasn't too bad, just a little annoying. I still enjoyed my stay overall.
The location was perfect! Right in the middle of a lot of things, so it was easy to walk anywhere we wanted to go. Loved that the hotel had a restaurant so when it started raining we had the option of just staying in eating instead of walking in the rain to get food.

United StatesNo on site parking (you have to park across the street), the room would be pretty small for more than one person. They were short staffed, so there was no towel/linens/coffee service for my room after I checked in — but the price was not reduced.

PolandThe worst check-in experience ever: when I arrived at the lobby at 9 pm on Saturday, there were dozens pf people waiting for…their rooms! Which were not cleaned on time (somewhat weird, given that the check-out time is probably around 11 am). We were told this was due to labor shortage, a valid reason, and not only experienced in Alaska. Still, for the hotel of this class, asking fifty or so people to wait for hours for their rooms in the lobby, without giving them any information when the rooms would be available, not providing water or snacks, was somewhat unacceptable. If there is not enough staff, one would probably need to close part of the hotel altogether and limit the number of rooms available. Truth be told, I didn’t need to pay for the night spent waiting for the room (about three hours), and I appreciated that.
After a traumatic check-in experience (see below), I could enjoy the hotel - which is great, clean, conveniently located in the city center. My room was spacious and had all the amenities you could expect, plus a gorgeous view on 4th Avenue. There is no breakfast, and the coffee shop downstairs is small and slow.
