To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.

When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

Loved the breakfast . I was told by staff that booking just puts free breakfast on her to get me to get room, and then he gave me breakfast after looking at the booking. Sad. I loved the gym, although you have to be 16 to use it.

United States of AmericaYou are paying for the Hilton name and location. The first room, the ceiling in the bathroom, was mold, so I was moved to another room. The jacuzzi tube had water in it. At this point, we just unplugged the drain. Hilton is one of my favorite places to stay. But it's time for upgrades or lower your price. Overpriced cold breakfast . The staff are excellent and very helpful they can't be held responsible for Hilton lack of upgrades to their hotel chains. Each room is in need of upgrades. Hilton need to be ashamed of themselves.

Upon arrival I was told that there were no more rooms in the room type that I booked and I stayed that I reserved a certain room type for a reason so I had anticipated getting the room that I paid for and the staff member told me that since I booked through a third-party, I don’t get preference even though that’s what I selected and paid for, although after I told her it was for a birthday, she did give me a room with a spa tub after repeatedly saying she was sold out of those rooms. Got to the room and it was clean but the balcony door did not work and I paid for a balcony in Spa tub. Shower door was a bit off track too but it finally closed.

United States of AmericaMy room was improperly cleaned. I found strands of hair in the shower and on the bathroom floor. The carpets and living furniture furniture were stained in areas and could stand to be professionally steam cleaned. The staff member gave the wrong room number to 2 guests who checked in maybe 30 minutes after our arrival. We were a little startled to hear someone at our door trying to enter.
I liked the location of the property, which was relatively close to downtown Atlanta
