To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.

When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

GuatemalaArrived late at night, checked in and went up to my room. There I saw that the beds were not made and the room was not ready. Had to go down to ask for another room, which I quickly got. Unfortunately that one was next to the elevator, lots of noise. In general, the whole place is somewhat run down, needs maintenance.

United States of AmericaIf i'm being nitpicky, I couldn't close the bathroom door all the way due to some little sticker tabs that someone had put on the doorframe to hold the door. Not sure if that was the hotel but I couldn't get it to shut in order to lock it.
The staff was very friendly! They let me check in ahead of my expected arrival time. The staff working the burger theory attached recommended some places in the area to try out as well.

United States of AmericaUpon checking in we got a key packet with information stating housekeeping is by request . Dial 0 to request housekeeping the for next day. And check out time was 12pm. Housekeeping used her key without knocking or announce her entrance and entered our room while we were asleep this is like 9am and shortly after around 10:30am she kept knocking nonstop breaking our sleep multiple times.

United States of AmericaThe one thing I didn't care for was our check-in time. We were on paper to check in at 3pm, but arrived around 2:45 and told we would have to wait until 3. Not really much of a complaint, but it would have been better if we could have just gotten our room key at that moment.
Very nice, clean, modernized hotel spaces. I only stayed for one night so I didn't look at the pool or anything beyond the basics. You get a keycard to access the gated parking lot, easy in and out. The onsite restaurant is where the breakfast is served buffet style. Its not like a holiday inn express continental breakfast though, this is genuinely good breakfast food for literally zero dollars. Overall a very decent hotel that I wouldn't hesitate to stay at again.

Great staff. Front desk staff were nice. Maintenance person changed a lightbulb for me and was very professional and nice. Everything went smoothly. On-site restaurant was convenient.
