Each review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty

- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

The noisy heating system when turned on.
Good location to visit NY, near to a subway station. Nice clean room. Only the furniture was a little bit old for me (signs of damage)

I booked 2 double beds because of surgery that I was having. I called the hotel Wednesday morning and told the clerk that. She said no problem. I also said we would be checking in around 8pm. When we checked in and there were no more rooms with 2 beds.

All was ok. The heating was a bit noisy.
There is a metro station cca 3-5 mins walking from the hotel and a short ride to the city center. There are shops and restaurants nearby. The room wasnt very big but enough for 2 people and it had a fridge , a coffee/tea maker and a microwave. The bathroom was spacious. The staff was nice and helpful

Area is little bit rundown, but was still safe.
The location was amazing, right next to a subway station, but the room was astonishingly quiet. The room had everything I needed, and was spacious for a Manhattan hotel.

I couldn’t help but compare Holiday Inn Sepang, in which we lay-overed enroute to New York, and Holiday Inn Lower Eastside NYC. Sepang was more luxurious and included a breakfast buffet option as well as free airport shuttle. Nevertheless, Holiday Inn is always a value for money choice.

The location seemed a bit unsafe early in the morning or after hours, but other than that, everything was great.
The location was very convenient. The room was well-equipped, and there was even a coffee machine for us to use. The bed was very big and comfortable, and the hotel provided everyday cleaning.

Elevator could have been cleaner and operated a little faster. Would have liked some parking discount/validation.
Rooms were clean, had all the basic amenities (fridge, hair dryer, iron, etc.), and beds were good. Good location to stores and restaurants.

Construction is currently going on there, which decreased the overall ambience of the hotel.
The location is perfect for our purpose of visiting our son, as he only lives a couple of blocks away. 24 coffee available, although the coffee itself was awful. So many restaurants and things to do close by.

Street and people loitering outside was a bit sketchy, but that's how NYC is going. Water pressure was not great and controlling the temperature on the shower wasn't straightforward.
Clean, great location, decent gym, good value. Helpful staff.

The turnover of rooms was late in the afternoon in our experience. We didn't have out room cleaned on one of our days as we had arrived back at the hotel at 4pm and the room hadn't yet been cleaned or changed.
The overall experience was good with great staff who were very helpful. The location was good for us and the hotel was clean and well maintained. We would stay there again, no question.

To say something, I didn't expect a neighbourhood of Manhattan to be full of homeless people and addicts. They ask you for money and it's sad you can't help all of them. Also sometimes in the night I was a little afraid.
Super great. Complete control of temperature of the room and immediate help to my door when I had a problem. King size bed, shower, even a microwave in the room to heat my NYC street food. Great hotel.
