Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United KingdomThe car park should be free for the customers. Unfortunately we had to pay a fee.
We love the architecture of the building; it is quiet and the setting is wonderful. There is lots of space and green areas. There is a clean and comfortable swimming pool surrounded by chairs and parasols.

United StatesIt could use one more floor lamp and more seating for a family in the living room area. The can lights were nice, but bright when you wanted some light at night.
Very quiet and clean.

The location was great, we took the bus where we needed to go to keep from paying for parking. The bus was $8 for a 3 day pass. Rachel and Lionsha were wonderful! Definitely a home away from home type place. The rooms had everything you needed.

United StatesA Hidden Gem in the Bywater – Holy Angels Convent Turned Dreamy Hotel! Staying at the Bywater Suite Hotel was such a unique and memorable experience! The property, once the historic Holy Angels Convent, has been beautifully repurposed into a boutique hotel that’s full of character and charm. The architecture alone is worth the visit. Our suite was incredibly spacious and thoughtfully designed, with plenty of room to stretch out and relax. One of the highlights of our stay was the serene pool area — a true oasis in the heart of the Bywater. It felt like a peaceful retreat yet still just a short walk or ride to all the excitement of the French Quarter. Huge kudos to Rachel Van Voorhees for taking such amazing care of us during our stay! Her warmth, attention to detail, and genuine hospitality made the experience all the more special. You can really feel the love and care that’s been put into making this place a true home away from home. Highly recommend for anyone wanting a New Orleans stay that’s full of history, beauty, and comfort.

United StatesThe parking was pretty steep priced to park inside the gates, but it was worth making sure our cars were safe. And parking in NOLA is just expensive in general.
We got to talk to the actual owner to learn the history of the place. She also personally placed a playpen with a sheet already on it in our room ready for us when we arrived with our baby. The customer service was exceptional. It felt like a home away from home. The rooms were so nice and updated, the pool/hot tub area was so amazing. I recommend this place 10/10

United StatesThere was anything I didn't like. Only thing I would suggest is better cooking pans. The pans provided were not nonstick.
Staff was very friendly and helpful!! Rachel was an excellent host. She told the history of the property and was so friendly to talk to. We would stay here again. Very clean and modern. Full size washer and dryer was very handy. Fridge kept everything cold. Nice to have a full-sized stove and oven. Pool was fantastic and very clean. Grounds around pool was very well lighted. We had a great stay!!!

United StatesWe needed a few more towels in our suite and that’s about it!
Super clean, amazing amenities to include a huge pool and hot tub, a dishwasher in our suite and a washer and dryer in our suite! We saved hundreds of dollars being able to enjoy occasional meals in our suite and very convenient to go home with a suitcase full of CLEAN clothes after a week of sweaty fun in the sun during Jazzfest

United StatesWould have liked the hot tub to have been open a little bit longer because we always got back later than the 10:00 p.m. closing. I would also say that some more silverware and coffee cups and things need to be in the room itself. The kitchen implements were very very limited.
The hot tub the pool the enormous space that we had was awesome. Having two bedrooms and two baths was fantastic. Although they offer paid parking within the gate you can easily park just right across the street from the gate entrance. The number 8 bus comes within two blocks of the entrance gate and will take you within a few stops to just a few blocks north of Bourbon street. The 7-Day Jazzy pass for $15 a person is an absolute bargain for that reason. This place was amazing it is a true gem and the staff were incredible. We will stay there again without question.

United KingdomNothing particular, everything was pretty great but hard to have natural light come in because if we opened the blinds it exposed us to the street.
We really enjoyed the location with lots of restaurants and café nearby and being in walking distance of many amenities. The pool was an added bonus and we found the staff super friendly and helpful

United StatesThe whole building and area loss power which messed up our Sunday morning. That was something that happened to the entire area. Other than hours of no power I felt it was a great place to stay.
I like how secure the hotel was with the gate and you had to use a code to get in. The room was a nice size and the needs were comfortable. Some of the staff were very helpful and kind. Especially Rachel.

United KingdomWe stayed in Bywater because it’s cheaper than staying on the French quarter (FQ), but we’re so glad we did. It’s quiet and nice to recharge from being in the busy FQ. Bywater is also a trendy area with lots of quaint cafes, restaurants, bars. We had our breakfasts and some dinners in bywater, which were nicer than the FQ. The property is near many cute spots. It’s also close to the 8 bus stop which takes you direct to FQ, or catch an uber for $10-20 one way depending on time of day. The property itself was good. Its very secure and code entrance mechanism is great. We didn’t use pool due to bad weather. We used the little gym one day, its very basic and not enough weights for women, but we made due and it was nice to have it. The room itself had everyone we needed, including a washer and dryer. The bed and pillows were not the comfiest but also not the worst. There was an issue with the bathroom tap which they fixed while we were there. Then there was also an issue with the shower head, but we just used the hand held bit. Their communication was good and helpful. I’d say this was excellent value for money. My thoughts are that if you are only in town for a night, I’d stay in the FQ but if you are in town for 3 nights like us I’d recommend staying here.

Outstanding place! A bit confusing to find where to check-in, but after you figure that out, it is wonderful! We would definitely stay again. Both bedrooms had their own bathrooms, so that was perfect for our business trip!
