Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United States of AmericaPersonally, I think bath tubs are gross in hotels. They seemed clean but not for me, a walk-in shower is preferred. The room furniture is a little uncomfortable but I didn't spend much time there. TV streaming options would have been nice for our little one at night and in the morning, cable is outdated. Mainly, just need some updates and replacements but overall it was ok and manageable.
The location was central to the outings we planned. Checking our luggage before we could check in and after we checked out was extremely helpful. The staff was great! The breakfast was great for a free hotel breakfast! My son loved the pool.

United States of AmericaOur room wasn't ready at 4:00pm so we didn't get to check in until almost 5:00pm. That was a bummer, but the manager on staff told us to take some snacks from the 6th floor for free, which was nice. Also, the water in the pool was VERY cold. We specifically chose a hotel with a pool for our young daughter, but the water was so cold that it was hard to enjoy swimming. I think they could invest in a heater for the pool. The couch in our room was very uncomfortable with every thin cushions, and the sofa bed was pretty bad. Very thin mattress on the sofa bed and you could feel the springs. I wish they offered more rooms with two Queen beds for families with kids.
Great location. Very friendly staff. The front desk staff texted me during my stay to ask about our room and if we needed anything. When we needed things like extra pillows and towels, they dropped those off quickly. The free breakfast was a nice perk and there were many options. It does get VERY busy during breakfast, but that is to be expected since most hotels in the city don't offer a free breakfast. The pool is quite large for an indoor pool in downtown Chicago. I liked that our room had a little kitchen and a separate sitting area with a couch. The location is close to Michigan Avenue and lots of shopping and restaurants. There's a Starbucks right across the street! They also have a nice indoor gym if you like to work out when you travel.

United States of AmericaMore detail when cleaning the rooms. There was dust on the baseboards and the TV table in the bedroom. We wiped something off the closet doors that was likely lotion. Just a tad more care when cleaning the rooms would go a long way with customers.
The rooms were spacious and having the ability to cook our own food in the kitchenette was a plus. The free breakfast was very nice and had lots of options.

United States of AmericaNot sure if our room was directly above the kitchen exhaust system or, the prior guest had cooked so much in the unit that it reeked of food/onion smells. I asked for a plug in air freshener. I was given a bottle of Febreze. Didn't help much. The other option was to have a maintenance staff person dry powder & sweep the carpet. We checked in late at night & were too tired to go that route or request a room change :/
Great location. Clean. Fair price. Especially since it includes a full breakfast.

CanadaParking was pricey, but the parking attendants (valet parking) were all very nice and super helpful. Some wear and tear in the room. Couldn’t control the heat in the room. Sofa bed was very uncomfortable. We were there for 3 nights and were told that the rooms were cleaned every other day, but ours was not cleaned. This wasn’t a big deal for us, so we did not call the desk to complain, but it would have been nice.
Amazing breakfast with lots of options. Wednesday night snacks and drinks was a nice perk. Serving staff very friendly and helpful. Location was within walking distance to many main attractions. Excellent view of city buildings from our room window.

United States of AmericaOur room was HOT. We called down to the desk and they told us to turn off the thermostat and crack the windows, which we did. But it was still hot to the point where we all slept in our undies. Breakfast area ( 6th floor) was very warm too.
Great location, friendly staff. Full fridge, stove and microwave in rooms.

United States of AmericaOnly one of the two elevators was working for part of the stay, which made for extremely long wait times.
My two daughters, ages 6 and 4, did a weekend staycation and loved our experience. Homewood Suites was perfect as it allowed us tons a space in our one bedroom suite and the kitchen space was a bonus. My girls loved the pool. We had a great view and everything is walkable and you can easily take public transit. Would recommend for families.

United States of AmericaI didn't like the pillows on the bed. They were a little to soft for my needs. Felt like I was just laying my head flat on the bed. Another thing I didn't like was the price for parking. $70 a night seemed a little much. Found a parking garage just around the corner for $30 the first night, found another for $25 the second night. Plus there weren't and carts in the downstairs lobby to load our bags to take them to our room on the 16th floor
I truly appreciated the guest service. From being greeted at the entrance to checking in at the front desk. Very polite and professional. I was getting text messages from the staff making sure we we accommodated, comfortable, and in the best of care. Any problems we had were addressed properly and quickly. From having our shower head changed to getting the wifi connected. Very professional. Breakfast was hot and delicious
