Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United States of AmericaStaff was a little uppity. Told them my daughter was coming to join me but would not let her in. The directions for guests on how to enter at night not clear at all. Should be the first thing explained after checking in. Hallway carpets need serious replacement, old and dingy and stained. Rooms are large and great. The architectural details of the Hotel are beautiful.

United States of AmericaThe room was too small, I booked a king room city view and it wasn’t what I expected or what showed on the photos. The mini fridge did not work and when we notified the front desk they told us someone would be up to help but no one showed up to fix it at all. The bathroom sink lacked water pressure.
It’s was nice. The robes in the room were pretty good. The shower was decent.

United States of AmericaI had called ahead to request early check-in, and was surprised when it couldn't be guaranteed / accommodations couldn't be made when we arrived early. We ended up waiting over 2 hours to get into our room. Our suite was facing the inside of the hotel with no windows (no one mentioned this) and didn't come equipped with standard bar items despite having a full bar set-up (no glasses, wine openers, anything). The room was pretty dark because it was on the inside of the hotel. The amount of negative small things were surprising for a hotel of this price/quality.
The hotel is in a great location; and parking/valet was incredibly speedy. The staff was overall very friendly. Breakfast was in a beautiful room with killer views.

United States of AmericaNeeds to be spiffed up (carpeting, paint, etc.)
The bed was extraordinarily comfortable, and are room was generously large and light-filled. The upstairs XIX (on the uppermost 19th floor, naturally) restaurant and bar are wonderful, serving breakfast, brunch, a complete bar menu and libations. These extraordinary, century-old rooms have tall ornate domed plaster ceilings, matched by no hotel in the U. S. The hotel is a bit down on its heels. And I muttered to myself, when checking in, oh my…how far the old Bellevue-Stratford has fallen. But, it still stands, and she is still magnificent. Few things would make me happier than to see the Bellevue preserved and restored.

United States of AmericaI am sad that either Booking.com or the Bellevue or whoever didnt let you know before booking that everything in the hotel is closed. I chose this hotel because I stayed here before and it was incredible. The ballrooms, the fitness area, the pool/spa/etc, the food court below, the shops, etc, even just walking around the staircases and seeing the awesome areas. All of this was not available. Everything was closed. You couldnt go to any of the floors with the ballrooms or pool/spa/fitness area etc. I understand that it's covid times, and that many things are under renovation, but I wish that they had told us ahead of time because we would have stayed somewhere else. Our room was outside the conservatory which was really cool; we had our own little patio! However, we had two large windows that were not able to be shuttered and we were next to the hallway, so the bright light shone in our room all night. This was difficult as it kept the room basically lit all night. The restaurant/bar was open, but we went up there one night and it literally smelled like sewage. I'm not trying to be rude about it, lol, but it was so stinky! Not sure why. We still stayed to have a drink. I think the Bellevue is beautiful, but this stay was not at all like my previous one, which makes me sad.
This hotel is beautiful and in a great location. It is right in the middle of nearly everything we planned to do. You can walk nearly everywhere. The beds are super comfortable and the bathroom was spacious and clean. We had two mini-fridges in our room. We were able to get extra towels and extra creamer for coffee easily.
