Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.

By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United States of AmericaThe parking lot is anxiety-inducing. We rented a car and got upgraded to a huge SUV, which barely fitted (6.4, limit is 6.6), and the only spots one can find would usually be at the 10th floor. Valet may make it easier, but also comes at an extra cost.
Literally on Waikiki. Close to everything.

CanadaThe elevators were always packed and sometimes you would need to wait for a few elevators before finding room to get on. We also would have liked a public lounge area. They have a private lounge area, which appeared to be empty most of the time.
The hotel is in a great location. We could walk to many restaurants and the beach was right across the street. Loved that there were chairs to sign out and beach towels were always available.

AustraliaWe arrived in the morning after long night flight from Australia. No early book in and we were told they were cleaning our room when we arrived but still waited 2hours. Told that I should have paid for another day if I wanted early access. The breakfast was very ordinary hashbrowns and bacon were so cooked up we couldn’t eat them. Staff very quick to clear the table. No cappuccino coffee available.
Fabulous location. Clean spacious rooms. Surprised by free entertainment, markets and how close it is to the beach. Staff generally friendly.

United States of Americawe didn’t get lei’s upon arrival like it said we would, it was our anniversary and my boyfriend asked for something special, all we got were the complimentary chocolates that i assume come with every room. my boyfriend ended up proposing which is why he asked for a little extra too. to top it all off i thought i bought the room with breakfast included and apparently they said i didn’t and they were charging $45 per person for the buffet which i don’t think was worth it.
loved all of the amenities, the staff was really nice and attentive the best part was how close it was to the ocean

United States of AmericaThe elevator wait time took almost 5 minutes every time. We didn’t rent a car this time but in the past we were very happy with the public parking and how small and tight it was.

United States of AmericaThe elevators had trouble handling the volume of people and I was on the 35th floor so that was inconvenient. Additionally the water temperature was very irregular. There were times that my room could not get hot water for several hours.
Location was outstanding! Directly across from Waikiki beach and right on the main strip for shopping and dining. The service was fantastic! The view was outstanding.. Very convenient.

United States of AmericaRoom is dated, was not renovated, sub-standard for this class of hotel. We paid dearly for Oceanfront and we got a room with side oceanfront room view and on mid floors ( not higher floors). Not too happy. A direct ocean front would be available after the holidalys and we did not want to repack and unpack.
location was convenient and central. Cleaning crew was very friendly and helpful and did a good job.

United States of AmericaThere were a lot of little things that added up to me dinging my score. The room had certain imperfections like walls with signs of cut wallpaper, the rug was kinked up and bumpy. The tv is one of those tvs where you can’t access the hdmi ports and the chrome cast wasn’t very reliable. The ice machine on the floor was broken. The lobby, while interesting, is pretty confusing when you’re first arriving because everything flows into the ground floor shops and street. And then there’s the way the door to the hallway doesn’t block sound very well. The poolside restaurant isn’t… the best. Like it’s fine, but it’s expensive and not the best food. It’s not a deal breaker as there were plenty of nearby places to eat. Probably the least fun part of staying at this hotel were the hidden fees for staying in Hawaii , and the way I expected an ocean view but got an “ocean view” which could see the ocean but wasn’t directly pointed at the sea like I expected. I’m not sure if it was booking’s fault for not showing all the different fees or not. It feels like I should’ve gotten a better quality hotel for the final price, but you’re really paying for the location.
The obvious best part of this hotel was the location, I had never been to Hawaii before and I can see why people love it. The hotel is really well integrated with the street, the beach, and all the shops. It just takes an elevator ride and an escalator down before you’re shopping or hitting the sand. A bonus was having a great view, even when I was on a high floor. But the next best thing was the staff. There are good folks working there, and I want to give them a lot of credit. Besides the nice service at the front desk, the restaurant, and the tour guides, the best example showed up on the first night. My first night in Honolulu was unlucky, stormy weather led to power outages throughout the city with the hotel being affected. I saw one group of visitors get stuck in an elevator which is pretty horrible. But I saw some of the staff work as best they can to help them, with a staff member staying with them by the door to let them know someone was nearby. That memory stuck with me by the time I got back to my own room. Good people work there.

United States of Americarestaurant costs are too high. Went to dinner at the Korean bbq and there was a function at the next door pool, so we could hear speeches, music, chatter.. very annoyingly. I wasn’t impressed with the spa & staff. Immediately after my 80min massage, I had a vertigo episode. The therapist walked me to the waiting room where I sat for almost an hour. No one bothered to check on me. My friend searched for me and found me and led me out. When I went to pay for the service, no one even asked if I was okay or anything cause CLEARLY I wasn’t able to walk on my own. They were only interested in getting paid!! Very disappointing.

AustraliaAsked for early check in but was denied. We sat around for hours waiting for the room to be available after a long flight from Australia. You could have done better considering the price we paid for our stay! Shower over bath is from the old days and is an accident waiting to happen as it is slippery and uncomfortable. Most modern establishments now have a separate shower that is walk in and safe.
Comfortable bed. Excellent view from balcony looking over the beach and down towards Diamond Head. Location directly across from Waikiki beach meant swimming was quick and easy.

United States of AmericaLots of sirens going by--but nothing the hotel can change :) I also didn't like not having complimentary coffee pots in the rooms or lobby --the coffee stores downstairs at the 2 places were 1/2 hour long-frustrating. We just wanted regular coffee and cream and sit on the wonderful balcony. Nespresso coffee machines would be wonderful for the rooms.
