Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United States of AmericaIt's a bit worn down.
Very close to the convention center ( and the trail blazers). The train from the airport stops right outside. If you took the train further ( across the river, youd get downtown) Staff is exceptionally helpful.

United States of AmericaWe had issues with our toilet. It would flush but not fill back up. I know how to do plumbing and made it work some. It does need new workings in the tank to run better. Room 404. I forgot to let them know about the issue, so that was on me, not them.
Talking to the desk personnel was enjoyable.

United States of AmericaIt was very disappointing to find out that there was no restaurant IN the hotel, no breakfast options, and nothing available to buy (not even snacks). Inadequate amenity options.
I like the location! We went to a three day event at the Convention Center and it was nice to be able to quickly go back and forth. The staff was amazing! Very friendly and accommodating.

United States of AmericaFirst room was very close to street level and on the side my the train.
The customer service was amazing! We were there during a snow/ice storm and they were great. Our initial room didn’t have great neighbors and was close to the street noise. The front desk folks moved us and took great care of us.

United States of AmericaOne of the elevators was out when we visited, apparently a casualty of the recent winter weather related power outages. So getting to the top floor while sharing one small and slow elevator with everyone else in the hotel was kind of a process, especially since the stairs were for emergency exit use only. No quick trips down to the car if you forgot something!
Loved the view of the city from our room! This was the lowest cost option I could find to be within walking distance of the Moda Center so we could watch a Blazers game, and it met our needs just fine. The room was clean and had everything we needed, front desk staff was very friendly. On-site parking was nice, having a covered area was great during the rain, snow and ice. Parking does cost $15, but pretty much every hotel in the area charges and $15/day is about as cheap as you're going to find.

AustraliaWalls were thin so lots of noise from nextdoor. Windows not double glazed so lots of street noise. Sadly downtown Portland is somewhat impoverished these days so we heard many a drug fueled argument out on the street. Surprising given how cold it was out there but people still about. Hotel desparately needing a revamp. All a bit old and sad really. However relatively clean, bed fine and heating worked. Parking conveniently underneath and easily accessed.
We chose the hotel as it was near sporting arena.

CanadaNoise isolation wasn't great. If someone knocked on the room next door, it was loud so we kept thinking someone was knocking on our door. There was only 1 ice machine on the 2nd floor. There were no extra amenities like swimming pool or gym.
Location was great since we were there for the convention centre esp when we were hit with the cold spell and snow that weekend. The room had the sink separate from the toilet so that was convenience. The room was large so that was nice. The staff was friendly and helpful. The building was really old but the room was decent enough. It was a good place for people on a budget.

United States of AmericaHotel is old and worn. Nothing had a major impact on my stay, but minor quirks of plumbing (hot/cold swapped, etc), dated furniture, visible power strips, mismatched counter tops, etc were evident, and hotel lacks the amenities of the competing chain hotels in the area. The area around the hotel does have a significant homeless population, who could sometimes be seen in/around the parking area, and who sometimes leave piles of feces, etc on sidewalks, etc.
Location is very convenient to convention center and metro line, literally across the street. The metro line also means it's quite easy to reach from the airport, as the red line just outside the hotel goes directly to/from the airport (roughly a 30 minute journey, or 15 by car).
