Richard is a great host and made us feel welcome from the start. We had a very cozy breakfast in the dining room with other guests. Short walk to bars/restaurants from the house. Highly recommend Lantana House to anyone looking for great views and warm hospitality.

The location is great, very close to the centre of Rockport. Lovely hosts (with their two lovely dogs), cosy room, splendid home-made continental breakfast—feels like home away from home. Well, home plus home-made continental breakfast and in the pretty town of Rockport.

The location, a less than 10-minute walk to Rockport’s harbor, was absolutely perfect and on-site parking proved invaluable. Coziness, delicious breakfast offerings, porches and a comfortable room made for an ideal stay.

The only thing I wasn't crazy about were the stairs, but I knew about them before I booked a room. The bottom line is you need to do your homework, and read all the info and FAQs. An informed consumer is a happy consumer.

Charming B&B in a perfect location to have easy access to everything. Also a guaranteed parking spot in a town where they can be hard to find. Lovely, clean, comfy rooms. Richard, the owner was friendly and interesting. Despite being told that they only had a continental breakfast, there were plenty of delicious options. Richard's two family dogs were very sweet and well behaved. I would definitely stay there again!

Nothing to say about what we didn't like.

The property is well maintained. Proprietors are very attentive. Continental breakfast.. fruits, freshly baked breads, homemade granola.. hard boiled egg.... Coffee... Location for Bearskin cannot be beat. The front porch is awesome to sit and relax and watch people go 'round n 'round trying to find parking... Hence this is a great location. Parking on site for guests who could then walk to Bearskin. Easy access to the major routes for other places as well. Gloucester 5-10 mins. away.

The inn was a bit dated. It was certainly not the bright and beachy inn you might expect to see near the beach it was more of an old-school New England inn. The only real downfall was the bed was unbelievably uncomfortable and so very hard, I think sleeping on the floor on the rug would have been softer. It seemed like a bed from the 90s when "firmer the better" was the motto. I think a simple mattress upgrade would make a world of difference. The shower was also a very small stall shower, which was perfectly fine for us, but might be of note for a guest that may need more room in the shower!

The Lantana House was an incredibly affordable option for the area. It was super close to town and easily accessible by car. They also had a dedicated parking lot for one car per room, which was also great. The continental breakfast has fresh fruit and breads, which was perfect before a day at the beach or walking around town. The inn keeper was very responsive and kind, and both gave us space to enjoy our trip and chatted with us to make the experience personal! The inn was also impressively clean despite having a lot of Tchotchkes around!

The commuter train is within walking distance but parking is free, so if you have a car, you are going to want to drive there. After spending a day walking around Salem, the walk back was not fun (even though it was downhill).

Richard was an excellent host and very knowledgeable about the area. He gave us suggestions for things to visit during our stay. We booked here because we wanted to visit Salem, but we ended up falling in love with Rockport. We can't wait to go back again and Lantana will be our #1 choice for our accommodations.

The room was on the smaller side, but comfortable. Unfortunately, it was facing the main street, which can get noisy.

It was A cozy pleasant environment in a beautiful town. The breakfast was great with tasty home baked goods. It met my expectations of what a bed and breakfast place should be. On site parking was especially appreciated.
