To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.

When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

CanadaBed a bit tired. Too bad they tiled over the Japanese tub. No door on washroom. just a louvered door on WC was a bit off putting. Thought the price was a tad too high for the room.
Fantastic common area with bar, breakfast and lots of seating. Cool place to hang out. Great room overlooking the city and excellent breakfast. Location in Japantown can't be beat as you are a short uber to anywhere in the city whilst avoiding some of the unpleasantness of downtown SF.

United States of AmericaThe room itself was underwhelming especially the AstroTurf strip of a balcony, which I wouldn’t pay for next time. The lighting was not great in the bathroom and the hairdryer did not heat up and so didn’t actually dry your hair. There were no slippers.
The location and lobby area were very good. The coffee machine in the lobby was wonderful and the elevator was super fast.

IrelandThe windows are probably a bit old and they're huge sliding patio style but they were banging and making a lot of noise the 1st two nights with windy weather. There are no food options outside of breakfast in the hotel
Gym was really well equipped and complimentary tea and coffee all day. The staff were really nice! Strong wifi connection available and the room was huge with a fridge, coffee maker, hair dryer, iron, ironing board and umbrella

They liked the place, but suddenly decided that they had to leave one day earlier, Sunday, and asked for a refund, but your staff refused. Why? AustraliaI do not recommend this hotel for family as at night time the downstar turn into a bar. Breakfast is average. I was expecting more Japanese inspired food but there was only Miso soup. Breakfast area is small. Room was small and average - I didn't like the no door bathroom , but I guess it's ok if you travel alone or as couple. Do not require key card for lift access - anyone can use the lift to any floor level No bath tub
Location was great for restaurant and shops in Japan Town Coffee machine downstair is convinence.

United KingdomSome rooms have doors between them, presumably to accommodate larger groups booking adjoining rooms. These doors aren't particularly soundproof however and we could hear the people next door (not part of our group). Also if you're in a room facing the road then you may notice traffic noise as I think the windows are single glazed. Neither of these things bothered us much, or were unexpected for a city centre hotel, but those preferring a quiet room may wish to request a higher floor / not road facing.
Stylish rooms, generally very comfortable and had everything you needed (coffee machine, fancy toiletries, mini fridge). Staff were all friendly and helpful. Overall a very pleasant stay.

United States of AmericaBed sheets are comfortable but too slippery. Not enough EV charging. Ambiguous parking between $29 from the mall vs $45 from the hotel. Not sure if breakfast is included. I know some rooms have a bathtub with Jacuzzi but I didn't check when booking. Still a movable showerhead and platform to sit on is nice.
Location, renovated facilities. Great view. Coffee on tap. Interesting books in the lobby. 20% discount to the spa. Everything I like before plus new faces and decorations. And most important late checkout (though we left early)
