Each review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.

An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

Too small shower to be a room with disability access. Room had a smell I didn’t like.
It’s right next to the freeway. Room was very convenient yo disability parking space.

Desk clerk told me about booking.com discount. Room was clean. It is extremely close to a supermarket. I was disappointed the rooms didn't have a microwave but there is one near the checkin. In general, worth closer to $75 than $100.

The bathroom floor was dirty and there were oily spots in the main room and the bathroom. My husband had to clean those up. Was afraid I’d slip and fall.

Accommodating one nighters next door or in the room above when you're on extended stay can sometimes be annoying. 😒

The restroom and floor needed a little extra cleaning.

The common area is such as the staircases and the walkways were absolutely filthy filthy filthy! In serious need of steam cleaning.
The bed was comfortable, and the room was nice for the price.

Some things didn't work such as plugs and lights. The rooms also could have been cleaner. The floors were dirty It seems like it's an extremely busy location so I imagine they try to turn the rooms over as quickly as possible.
The front office staff was very friendly and helpful. Check in was easy and quick. If you are looking for a basic room for a good price this is your place.

I wish the bed sheets have been changed during my stay. I probably could have requested it but I just sort of expected it to happen without needing to request it. Other than that the shower head was a little plugged. Everything else was absolutely perfect. The room was comfortable and quiet and pet friendly.
It's a very nice clean motel. The staff was very kind. It was my second time staying at this location and I'm sure I'll be back next year.

Could have been cleaner. Did not have enough towels for the number of people we had, we had to ask for additional. Prices had been raised everywhere because it was graduation weekend, but we knew it would be that way.
Location. Staff was very nice. Was able to book close to graduation time.

TV channels were quite limited, as it only had DTV. I understand it's a Motel 6, but maybe having a streaming service would make it more enticing to stay, such as Netflix or HBO Max, The fridge in the room we stayed at (RM 230) had uneven footing, so it would constantly bob up and down, making it difficult to open and close it.
Location was perfect, as it was in between SLO and the beaches. The staff was friendly and knowledgeable in navigating us to our rooms and best place to park at. Checking in and out was easy and straight forward. The water was nice and hot, making showering enjoyable.

My family couldn’t sleep as there was people shouting and carrying along late at night. We stayed in the first floor and you can hear steps from the room above.
The person in the front desk was very helpful and friendly - he alone deserves five stars.

The hotel has no control over this, but good grief, can we just stop smoking in non-smoking rooms? The hotel was very accommodating in terms of moving me to a room that wasn't so stinky.
As motel 6 goes, this one is particularly well kept. And I like the location. In some spots you just see trees.
