Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United StatesThe hall light shines in through the transom window above door, right into my sleeping eyes. No staff on site, just text communication.
Balcony access to watch sunset. Bathroom had claw foot tub. Beautiful old restored building with high ceilings. Ramp available in the alley to access second floor so you don’t have to drag luggage up the stairs.

United StatesI made a reservation online as I was pulling up to the property. There is a process of back-and-forth communication between, in this case, Booking.com and the host property. This can take some time apparently. If reservations are made ahead of time it’s no problem. But last minute reservations are another issue. I received a confirmation email from Booking.com in about 15 minutes. Absentee management seemingly. Bartender in their attached lounge said she knew of a family with young children who waited in the lobby for 90 minutes before this crucial confirmatory email from whatever booking company they used. This is a STUPID policy that needs to change to quickly accommodate spontaneous travelers. Manager told me that making reservations directly on their website (hellomulberry.com) was the best practice.
Location in downtown Tishomingo excellent. Cutely styled, tastefully decorated.

United StatesThe room did not have a window, and it was stuffy and hot with no thermostat to change the setting. We could not get in touch with a staff member. No staff was working the front desk.
The location is on Main Street directly across from Blake Shelton’s Ole Red establishment. The decor is cute.

United StatesThe bathroom has a sign on the door that it was for room number 1 (me), but there is no lock on the door. My disappointment was because I was supposed to have a private bathroom and I didn’t. I was 25 steps from the bathroom. I don’t think $119 for a room with a communal bathroom was fair.
The room and bathroom were clean; for the most part, as far as I know. There were enough choices for the continental breakfast. There was a communal fridge. It is within walking distance of Ole Red, which was great.

United StatesUsually, self- checkin is fine with us. In an Airbnb, at least you have an owner to address questions. Here, there is no one to call. The bathrooms are not connected to your room. And several cool, (seemingly) community rooms are confusing and left unexplained.
The original building is beautiful and the location was very convenient

United StatesThey charged me the money to stay at the establishment, and they had already gave my room away. It has now been one month. I have been trying to get a refund of my room charge of $231.71.
I booked through Booking.com when I got there. They had given my room away and then continued to charge my card after they said they would not…. that was on October 28 and today is December 1 and they still have not refunded my money, nor will they answer their telephone, or help me in any shape, form or fashion of getting my money back and Diane the manager never has returned my call!!! I would never refer this place to anyone. They will not answer their phone calls or return phone calls, and obviously not refund your money when you did not stay in their establishment!!! I even had Diane’s personal cell phone number text her and called her with no response.
