Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United KingdomThe restaurant staff was not as friendly as the hotel staff. Also the restaurant staff at night time are much much nicer and 100 times more friendly and welcoming than the morning staff.
The hotel was in a good location. We mostly used metro and the hotel was only few minutes walk from the station. Also only 2-3 minutes walk from 9/11. Very close to Wall Street and Brooklyn Bridge. The restaurant in the hotel was great. Hotel was very clean, staff were very welcoming and super friendly and helpful.

United States of AmericaI did not like that there is not nearly enough light in the bathroom to do hair and makeup. The bathroom lighting was VERY poor. I did not like that there is not a proper window covering. There was a see-through shade, but those across from us in another building could easily see through. There was no curtain to block the light from coming in during the early morning. I did not like that there was no microwave available for guests. The only one they had was not in working order. It would have been nice if the stay also included the tour out to the statue of liberty and Ellis Island.
I liked that our stay included breakfast, discounted dinners, hop on-hop off tour, and bicycle access. Nearly everything was great!

SingaporeThe double beds were a tad small and too soft for my liking.
Convenient location. Many train stations nearby that travel to upper Manhattan and even to Brooklyn. Safe because near the World Trade Center. It’s also peaceful and quiet at night as it’s in the financial district. Nearby is Battery Park where you can see the Statue of Liberty without taking the ferry. Room is very spacious for a family of 4 with 2 teenage kids.

United States of AmericaI had the pleasure of staying at the New York Marriott Downtown during my recent trip to the city, and I must say it exceeded my expectations in many ways. The location is ideal, situated in the Financial District, with easy access to numerous iconic landmarks like One World Trade Center and the 9/11 Memorial. The room I stayed in was spacious, well-appointed, and offered a fantastic view of the city skyline. It was meticulously clean, and the comfortable bed ensured a restful night's sleep after a day of exploring the city. One of the highlights of my stay was the exceptional service provided by the hotel staff. They were friendly, accommodating, and always ready to assist with any questions or requests, making me feel truly valued as a guest. The hotel's on-site dining options were also top-notch. I particularly enjoyed the delicious breakfast at the hotel restaurant, which offered a variety of choices to suit different tastes. Overall, my experience at the New York Marriott Downtown was fantastic. The combination of a prime location, comfortable accommodations, and outstanding service made my trip to New York City even more memorable. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a great place to stay in Lower Manhattan.

United KingdomCost of breakfast, what was offered was good , but it was way way over priced for what is was. You paid for the convenice of not leaving Hotel. Also daily resort fee. Charged you for things you would not use. Why do they do this? I know this is New York, but hotel is still over priced . Even taking into account the location and upper floor view I had from Room
Good size room. Very good size for New York. Paid extra for Hudson river view. Which was good, especialy at night. But added to costs. Very good location . Near World Trade centre site and the Subway station. Easy to get to other parts of city. Clean Room which was serviced each day. A Comfey bed. No problems with sleeping.

Belgiummy initial room was just outside the ice machine and I was disturbed a lot the first night! it took a lot of discussions before I was moved to another room with a view and without the ice machine outside!
the view - especially as I had meetings all the time and didn’t have time to visit New York! it also close to the 9/11 Memorial for short walks in the evening!

SwitzerlandBreakfast options were extremely limited. We booked the room and had breakfast included, but the hotel staff claimed that was only valid for 2 people (we were two adults and two kids). I had to complain to Booking (who promised me a refund for those breakfast charges). I’m currently still waiting for the refund.
The location is fantastic.
