To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.

When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

Good size room for NYC. 2 doubles plus a sofa bed gave a family of 4 plenty of room. Location right off Times Square, surrounded by Broadway theatres. Very big and busy hotel but works well, lifts very good, check in smooth, no issues. Did not have breakfast at hotel as so many good diners close by.

United States of AmericaConcierge was wrong with his subway information. We inquired about the 7 day unlimited pass and he said they no longer offered it. He advised to swipe each time with a credit card. After our third day of using the subway and our credit card we found out there is a $34 - 7 days unlimited pass. It would have saved our family of 5 $120

United States of AmericaI did not like that I had extra bedding for my sofa bed in the closet but it was dirty with hair on it. I also did not like the vale service while checking out. I understand the system was down at that time but I think that there should be an alternate way to pay for parking when the computer system is down.
I liked the luxury feel of the hotel. I liked how it was clean and the staff were friendly as well. I enjoyed the $30 credit for food as well as the tickets for the big bus tour and the Madame Tussaud’s wax museum. It was really fun!

United States of AmericaThe noise in the hallway and from lower levels of the hotel that sounded like they were in the room with me made it difficult to sleep. The noise from outside is to be expected but the noise in the hallways was unexpected.
I loved being right in the heart of Times Square. The room was spacious and incredibly comfortable. Staff was very kind and helpful. One of the best hotels I’ve stayed at in Times Square.

United States of AmericaI booked the room through booking.com and got loads of confirmation emails from Marriott and booking.com. when we arrived we were told we did not have a reservation. It was my wife's 60th birthday weekend and it all centered around the room over looking time square. After scrambling for about 10 minutes with the reception desk, we were informed that we actually had 2 bookings and that is what caused the problem. That did not make sense but at the end of the day we got our room and it all worked out. It was just frustrating that after a long day of work and the 3 hour train to New York we were greeted with a big no!
The room was awesome. also the bar/restaurant were very nice.
