Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United States of AmericaAll I could see from the window was an exterior wall. The television set had no remote control to use it. The staff who worked the front desk in the afternoon and overnight were downright rude.
The room, though small, was clean. The bed was comfortable. There were three bathrooms within twenty feet of the room. The mini refrigerator and the microwave oven both worked well. And the hotel was about a mile or so from Market Street, which made getting around the city very easy to do. The staff at the desk in the morning were very pleasant to deal with.

Bonaire St. Eustatius and SabaBeing 190 cm (say, 6 foot 4), the beds were on the short side, but lying diagonally in a bed for 2 people worked.
Most things: First the location. I came from Bonaire and did not know San Francisco at all. I was looking for something not expensive, relatively close to Oracle Park where I went to see Dead and Company. Although the map fooled me a little and it was a little further, the hotel as in a great part of town that we enjoyed tremendously. Also the geneal layout and teh friendly people were a nice bonus

United States of AmericaThe night shift desk clerk seemed to just be miserable with life and was very unfriendly. She got mad when I asked for towels (none provided, housekeeping off duty.) and furious when I asked again a day later.( I ended up going to Target.)A few cockroaches but not overwhelmingly disgusting. This is very much a “you get what you pay for” dive hostel. Just a decent place to get a few hours sleep.
Location was second to none. Can’t beat the price.

PhilippinesCommon toilet. Defective showers no hot water. Bad mix of hotel guests. No toilets at the lobby. No coffee, no water save for a vendo machine for some basics.
Perfect location practically at the border of Chinatown and the Italian district of SFO. Very accessible via Bus Line 8 which you can take from Market and Kearny. Very close to a lot of cocktail bars and Chinese restaurants.

United States of AmericaRooms are very small, most without a view. Bathrooms are shared. No phone in room. No kitchen. Central location can be noisy, sometimes late. Television is older model, with poor reception. Wi-Fi occasionally spotty.
The room is nicely furnished: new sink, microwave and refrigerator. The building and facilities are cleaned well and regularly. Good on-site laundry. Staff if friendly and helpful. Central location. Many restaurants nearby. Good value for a budget traveler.

HungaryRoom is very small, there was a sink but no mirror. Absolutely not enough space for 2 people. Room was dirty like it was never vacuumed. Lot of cockroaches and other insects. Hallway was very dirty too. And there are some sketchy figures among the residents. However they did really have hairdryer, there was only 2 in the hotel and one of them was broken and dangerous. It was really hot in the room and there is no fan or a/c. It is cheap so don't expect it to be some fancy hotel but regular cleaning would be nice...
Location is very good.

GermanySmall room, queen size bed was way too soft and too small for a couple (we always rolled to the center). Unfortunately we had cockroaches in the room. No A/C. Best time to shower was in the morning right after cleaning - with 3 showers/toilets (that I could find) for a whole hotel floor you should not expect too much.
The value for money was the best during my entire California trip. The hotel is very well located and right by chinatown. There are great local places to eat nearby. I recommend the onion rings at Sam's Pizza & Burgers.
