Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

GermanyThe location is not really next to the most important things to see. But the subway is really comfortable. The area is not so good per sé. But nothing bad happened.
The hotel is really amazing. The staff kind and liable. There is free wifi, coffee and hot choccolate free from the machine. The room was big. Really amazing. The girl at the reception was really kind. I stayed 6 nights and 7 days. It was a great choice.

United States of AmericaI feel that for the location of this gorgeous hotel, that the price was a bit on the hefty side. As I walked by, unfortunately, there were addicts using out in the open, and there was litter all over the streets. I understand that this is NYC, so I am not judging too harshly. I just wish the price was at least $50-75 cheaper only due to location, honestly.
The hotel is beautiful. The staff is very nice and helpful. The lady who checked me in was beyond helpful and kind, as it was an unexpected visit and expense as well. On their mezzanine level, they have unlimited teas and different coffees including Lattes, french vanilla and mochas, and even espresso shots. They have vending machine and ice all day, as well as the coffee and teas. I really enjoyed that coffee, haha. Also, from 7am until 10am they have a really nice breakfast. It was an emergency, spur of the moment stay, but I enjoyed it very much so.

EstoniaNeighbourhood is South Bronx. Trash on streets and general lack of public order on streets. But it felt safe.
Great end helpful staff. Clean room. Everyday housekeeping. Close to subway station (lines 2 and 5). Real Gem in the neighbourhood. Breakfast regular continental 7am to 10am.

United States of AmericaUnfortunately for the hotel, the area has been "nicknamed" Zombie Land for good reason. The area is known for more than the Opera House, BUT the sidewalks were cleaned every morning and law enforcement is present. On top of that, there is a beautiful grocery store across the street and a Peruvian and Mexican restaurant just around the corner... the neighborhood seems to be improving. I would stay there again.
I loved the staff (kind and helpful), the property was beautifully decorated, it is very close to the train and the value is on-point.

United States of AmericaNot bothers me too much, but the boiled egg offer appears out of synch with current food choices, just sat there unused both mornings I observed. Maybe pre-cooked single fried eggs or mini omelets might work out better if within your price point. Rooms in the back require a long hallway walk, maybe not so good for anyone that doesn't say they have issues with the walk.
The rooms was spacious, clean, and well laid. The breakfast was plentiful and fair, having 24-hour coffee, tea, and hot chocolate was a plus. All the common areas were clean, security was present, as well as local police - all professional and nice, and the staff was very attentive and polite.
