Each review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (i.e. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
Guidelines and Standards for Reviews

Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Someone’s hair was in our shower when we checked in. The toilet seat was streaked all over and sticky from cleaner. Breakfast was awful. We got there at 8:00, so I don’t know if they just ran out of stuff by then or what, but we had to walk to McDonald’s nearby. Pillows were lumpy. Linen and towels were clean, but didn’t smell fresh.
Rooms were decent size and decor decent. Staff was friendly.

Staff tried twice to bust through my door at 11pm. Luckily, I had the internal lock locked. It was extremely hard to rest easy throughout the night after they tried twice to bust through my door. My wife didn't sleep. I had to scream to tell them to stop. I'll never stay there again.
The room was nice and very up to date. Free laundry was a plus also.

The first key we were given was to a room that was already occupied. The key opened the door and fortunately the gentleman had the security latch on so I realized it was occupied. I then spoke with the front desk and she said she didn’t realize that the person before her had given that room to someone. It seems as if that would be an important detail to pass along. There were only about 7 cars on the entire property so I can’t imagine they were very full. It seems reckless to hand out keys that way. I was sure to latch every deadbolt we had for fear that the front desk may give our key to another person too.
The room was clean and the location was good.

Not much selection for breakfast, though I guess it was adequate. Could have used more towels/wash clothes. Limited staff - all very pleasant - but difficult to locate

The A/C made a horrible noise so we had to keep turning it on and off. They say hot breakfast but it’s you putting a breakfast corn dog, burrito, or biscuit in the microwave. They had a toaster and when we asked about bread and butter she said they don’t have any. The coffee was cold the coffee maker in the room was disgusting. When I went to make coffee and opened the lid to put water in it it already had water in it so dumped it out and it had gross black stuff pouring out of it

The Post Time Inn was perfect. It’s a great location with two wonderful restaurants around the corner. They have a free washer and dryer. It was so clean and newly renovated. It was a great stay and value. Quiet too! Beds were comfortable and the decor was super stylish! We enjoyed our stay! And the staff was helpful and top notch

The reception staff were incompetent and didn’t list our room as occupied on the computer system. This resulted in 2 people, one at 12 midnight and one at 4am trying to get into our room as reception had thought it was vacant and gave them keys. Luckily we had the extra safety catch on as otherwise they would have walked straight into our room. It was very disturbing and we had to shout at them to go away. We didn’t know at the time that our room was listed as vacant in the system and thought we were in an unsafe area. It must have been distressing for them also as they presumed it was a vacant room. Also, our keys stopped working each day and we had to go back to reception to get new ones. The staff needs more training.
The room was very spacious, clean and modern. We had no problems with it at all

Included breakfast was basically non existent, dirty linen covers in the beds, booked a king room, received another type of room, someone tried to enter the room in the middle of the night. Management unresponsive.

No food at Breakfast, which was included in our rate. Lady told us no one hardly ever comes to breakfast, but that am, they did. She had to send someone to Walmart for food and she wasn't sure how long it would be before they got back.
Air was on when we got there, which was appreciated

The towels looks old and have tons of stains on them. Breakfast consisted only of a few corn dogs and coffee.

Place is under construction (bar/lounge) and is not done. Motel used as a staging site for construction/Road crew; parking lot is full of work trucks. Room is very minimalist not much else. Homeless man sleeping on floor inside breakfast area. Not worth the price!

Nice motel lady that checked us in was very helpful and great. Booked a king bed and had a two double room. Girl in morning was asleep couldn't print a receipt after 15 minutes. Paid for free cancelation and breakfast. NO BREAKFAST OR COFFEE. Would not recommend to anyone and I like to promote mom and pops places. Sorry if the truth hurts.

Numerous dead bugs in the room. Toilet was overflowing, and when condition was pointed out to front desk personnel, we were told that no maintenance people were available, and we were given a plunger to fix ourselves. Breakfast was a joke.
