The lack of view was a pity but it's a low-rise city scape property so we did not expect a great view. The "operational vibe" did not always meet the "fit-out vibe". All staff excellent and efficient but were not in character. Not a criticism, rather an observation as no complaints but a corporate image was projected in terms of dress and style whilst the property is possibly aligned to a more relaxed MO.

Very handy to points of interest, Union Square, restaurants etc. There is a breakfast, lunch, drinks place right next door that works really well. The road is not super busy so getting cabs etc simple and safe.

The breakfast area was just the bar and lacked atmosphere. I took breakfast at a nice little cafe across the road. The reception staff were not very friendly or helpful.

The room was fine and the bed was comfortable. The location was convenient for Union Square.

The Male Reception man was miserable to the point of being rude and unhelpful. Our room wasn’t ready so I said we would go and get some food and he didn’t tell us they have a bistro within the hotel ! We only discovered it late. Other one had no knowledge of getting around San Francisco so we had to work it out ourselves , not very good for someone on the front desk . Room a lot smaller than pictures

Heating and cooling were a little challenging to figure out and so was the TV system - but I'm also not the sharpest with technology..

The workout gym and the connected restaurant PLS make the hotel so worthwhile

The food menu was limited. That said, it was all cooked fresh and was excellent.

The hotel is central to the city and within easy reach of most locations. The hotel also has a pretty unique vibe, based on the rock music theme.

There were some small maintenance issues during our stay — the air conditioning wasn’t working properly at first, and we also had a leak from the ceiling that soaked part of the carpet. One of the lamps also flickered. However, what really stood out was the attentive and helpful front desk staff, who addressed our concerns quickly and even offered us a room change without hesitation. Despite the hiccups, we’d definitely stay again — the atmosphere, location, and service made it all

Rock vibes, comfy bed, and great service – a cool stay with minor bumps We had a great experience staying at Zarpelin Hotel in San Francisco, especially if you’re a fan of rock music — the whole place is infused with a cool, edgy rock ‘n’ roll theme that makes it feel unique and vibrant. The rooms were incredibly small. Very tight. The carpets need replacing. The bar needs to reopen (permanently closed).

Super cute theme and esthetics. Felt very safe with locked from doors, which was good considering the homeless population in the neighborhood.

The restaurant wasn’t open regular hours. It was a maze to get to our room. We had to cross into another area of the building to get to our room. But once we did it a few times it wasn’t that bad.

There was a water leak part way through our stay which meant that staff came into our room and we were then asked to change rooms. Despite this, we were moved quickly

Lina was incredibly welcoming upon our arrival, she helped us check in and get to our rooms in a timely manner. We were impressed with the decor and design, the game room and lobby with a welcoming fire.

They have complementary coffee and tea in the morning. On my last day I went to the breakfast restaurant because I wanted a better coffee and asked for a latte. They charged me something like $9.50 for a very standard latte! I was shocked. It's a robbery. Guys don't do this, particularly to people staying in your hotel...
