Each review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (i.e. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

The bathroom door was locked when we got there. The heat was set at 64, but the temperature of the room remained 77 the full time. No way to adjust it but open the window.
The room was nicely furnished. Comfortable beds, big pillows, nice comforter. Power outlet was great.

The room was permeated with smoker smell. The grout in the shower was not clean.
The price is competitive for an airport hotel in Anchorage. The staff are great. The breakfast was minimal, but still a welcome addition.

Was a hair or two in the bathroom, so not end of world but not ideal.
Solid breakfast (cereal, waffles, hard boiled eggs, bagel / muffins). Quick pickup from the airpoint.

The room was not inside the hotel it was on the outside so it was extremely cold in the room when I arrived. They had to bring me a heater to warm up the room. The room was very dated and didn’t look very welcoming. Teresa told me that I had been upgraded the room didn’t feel like an upgrade at all. I probably won’t stay here again.
The lady at check inn I believe her name was Teresa was very helpful and accommodating.

Unclear description of accommodation. I didn't realize I had booked a room in a separate building called the "puffin inn anex". It was only a slight inconvenience because it was in anchorage alaska with heavy ice build up on public sidewalk. Not necessarily the hotel responsibility.

The bedsheets were not so clean and the heater didn't work well, we switched room because of that but still wasn't working well in the other room

The breakfast was not adequate for everyone. When we were at the breakfast area, milk, bread, and eggs were gone already. The only thing that was decent and delicious was the muffin.
We waited just 5 minutes for the shuttle bus to come pick us up at the airport and it took only 5 minutes to go to the hotel. The driver was very nice and friendly.

The original room in the original hotel ("budget" or "economy" rooms) are terrible. How so? Bathroom floor was not one bit clean, room smelled awful (the carpet likely being a large offender), the air conditioner intake was filthy on both sides, and the windows don't open. The hotel website says that these economy rooms have been completely remodeled with modern amenities - maybe that was in 1970.
the room to which I upgraded - in the main building was fine - decently furnished and mostly clean. Front desk person was good to work with. The shuttle driver was on time and very professional.

) Apart from the first Lass, the staff were very ordinary. We were sent off to a "peach coloured" annex and couldn't find it, only to find it had been repainted brown. Trouble was, all the buildins there are brown - the directions given were hopeless. Other staff were unsmiling, uncaring and uninterested in their jobs. Definitely a culture problem with the staff there. (Apart from the first Lass who we didn't see again unfortunately)
The location and facilities were fine and breakfast was quite good too. The first staff member we dealt with was excellent.

The room I got was teeny tiny and in the "annex". OK for just me and not even a 12 hour stay. There was no closet, just some hooks on the wall. I was looking for something inexpensive to tide me over until my train to Seward. I would not recommend if you are staying longer than a night. At least not in the room I had.
My flight got in after midnight and they have a great airport shuttle. Check-in was quick and staff friendly.
