The location is not good if you want to go out and enjoy yourself. You have to travel 30 min to go out

Mildewy bathroom. Roll in showerhead set up was not properly done, placed facing into room resulting water spray halfway into the room. Water damage to walls and mildew. Trash on floor under the shower seat and plumbing cladding coming off pipes under the sink and no counter space on sink.

Someone else's hair on the bedspread and then on the sheets when I removed the bedspread. The shower dripped into the bathtub all night and kept me awake.

There were two different prices for a room without versus one with a refrigerator and a microwave. Being there three nights without the amenities of them was a real inconvenience.

Killed 3 roaches, have stayed there 3 different times. Didn't see any the other 2 times. Tile could have used a little more elbow grease on it .other than that it's good.

Non smoking room smelled like cigarettes and bed sheets had stains and smelled like old beer. Towels had stains one was dirty! People were loud at night: screaming, yelling, laughing, vomiting. I didn’t sleep much. The bed was very old and loud each time I moved. Trashes outside were full. El gator smelled like urine. I felt like in a zero star motel. No fridge no microwave. I had to spray my room with Lysol to be able to stay there. It’s a shame.

I cant think of anything that was needed. I would have liked a table in the room, but I understand that a room with two beds probably wouldnt be able to comfortably accommodate a table.

The room was obviously cleaned prior to our arrival which was a plus. I was not expecting 5 star hotel quality. Just a simple place to lay my head without the fear of bedbugs or violent activity around me. The Red Roof supplied all of that for me.

Definitely sketchy location. Thankfully it is well lit up at night time. Bathroom ceiling possibly looked like some mold, toilet looked like it could use an update. Besides that, no complaints.

The room smelt like stinky feet/ blue cheese. Mold on bathroom ceiling. I booked for 3 nights but checked out the next morning.

It was close to the hospital where my brother was having heart surgery.

Like to get refunded my $50.00 that Red Roof inn took because they said I didn't check out on time which is not true I checked out about 6:20am. I turned my keys in to a person at the desk so I'm guessing they didn't check me out until after 11am which I was gone way before then.

While it appears that rooms may have been renovated, the overall condition of the property is not so good. Exterior spaces tend to be dirty and often show need for repairs. Also, rooms often smell of residual smoke from previous occupants!

Facility is relatively cost effective, compared to other nearby Durham properties. Location is not so bad -- driving to Duke campus is necessary, but not so far.

I did not like finding out there was a $50.00 security deposit on top of the price quoted on Booking.com. The room was clean however, there is visible cosmetic damage that has resulted in rust and cracks to the tub and sink. Darken spots on the walls.

The location of the hotel is ideal. Literally a walk away from restaurants and gas stations and approximately 20 minutes from downtown Durham.

Some small roaches in many areas of the room which might be taken care of with more pest control but understandable that with such a large hotel you can't control people being messy. Overall it wasn't much of a problem.

The hotel wasn't quite as nice as the pictures but our stay was pleasant. Being so close to the highway was not great but luckily we were near the front further away from the traffic. All staff were very accomodating going out of their way to be friendly and helpful.
