1. I reached the hotel before check-in time, possibly closer to 1pm, thought my room was ready, the hotel wanted me to pay an early check-in fee of $25. I found this ridiculous, so decided to leave my luggage and chill out by the pool then walked to the nearby mall. 2. No washroom facilities available for guest while they wait to be checked-in. So imagine the dilemma there..hummmm. 3. You are charge $3 per night for use of the safe in your room. I did not use mine so I was refunded within 24 hours 4. The air conditioner was a bit loud at times, but worked nonetheless. 5. Paid Parking

First of all, I was very hesitant about booking this place as previous reviews seemed terribly consistent. However, I enjoyed my stay here. Location: Excellent, I had a conference at the Henry B Gonzales Convention Center. It was like a 6-7 mins walk. The River Centre Mall & Riverwalk a 4 mins walk, the Alamo a 6-7 mins walk and many other attractions nearby. Easy access to public transportation Room: Clean upon entry, great view of the city and highway. I booked a Deluxe suite, so a microwave and mini fridge was included which was a plus for storing and reheating food supplies. No breakfast included which was known, but was pleased that they had a tea/coffee station in the mornings and hot water available through out the day for guest to make their own tea/coffee at their convenience. They supplied laundry service at a minimal cost Parking: Paid Parking ($15 daily + tax), though I found this should not be charge to guest, it did put my mind at ease knowing that the vehicle I rented is safely parked and monitored. Alternate parking under the bridge close by could have been an option, but I did not want to risk it. Good thing I did not rent a vehicle for my entire stay.

Not great on facilities though. The hallways looked creepy for some reason and did not have cameras. I had to sleep with my lights on, and extra locks, but I did not get disturbed.

The rom was okay. The location seemed a bit inconvenient and shady, but ended up being okay. The staff were nice and helpful. Kept bags even after checkout.

I don’t like checking in at 4 pm and if we wanted an earlier check-in, it was $40 extra. Also, in the restroom door jam there was medium-size brown roaches. It made me feel like the place was not looked after well.

It’s ok for our needs that night. The ambiance was the usual motel inn quality nothing more to it. It’s a no frills inn.

The only thing I didn't like was that I was put in a handicap room when I did not ask to be put in one. The restroom for my husband and I was so inconvenient for us. I had no where to place my toiletry/makeup due to no counter tops. After showering the whole floor in the restroom would be wet. I did not complain to front desk due to my husband already being annoyed with front desk due to telling him not to vape in the building. He's argument was there were no signs for no vaping only no smoking. He has been to other hotels where they literally will have signs for both no smoking or vaping. I also didnt like that they charge for parking and the use of the safe. Really charging for use of safe? Thats a first!

The door in the parking garage was busted anyone could wonder in at anytime out of sight of the front desk. #2 the rooms A/C wasn't working to well roon wouldn't cool down even with a window open and no mini refrigerator not sure if other rooms had one or not but we were missing one and no lock on the bathroom doors was unsettling but we made the best of it
