Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United States of AmericaWe had read several poor reviews in advance and were nervous about the cleanliness of the room. However, while it wasn't the most updated room, it was far from the worst place I've ever slept. We had no issues.
Location was very close to downtown and the train station. It was an easy walk after our Amtrak train arrived late at night and the check in process went smoothly.

United States of AmericaService Fee of 4.50 and Surcharge fee 5.50 were NOT included in the rate you quoted on your website (Booking.com). I am not sure what these fees were for, but if the property is going to charge them, then they should be disclosed on your website, as it raised the rate some 20%, over what Booking.com quoted. I might have selected a different property-- one without "hidden" fees!

United States of AmericaThe walls are thin. Could hear a man in the next room throwing up all night. Musky smell in the room. Sheets had what looked to be cigarette burns in them.

United States of Americathe shower was almost impossible to tune in properly. (took me over 5minutes to get the water flowing and warm enough to take a shower.......really could use new fixtures. The parking situation is not good. not large enough to accommodate guests and had to park in a side business dark lot
location was awesome. Though not the nicest room, kinda run down, small, and stained....it was at least clean. Staff was friendly enough.

United States of AmericaRoom was extremely small. One of the pillows and half the towels were either stained or possibly dirty. Extremely low water pressure. The ceiling above in the shower was flying patch job that was painted over. Duct tape was used to secure shower curtain as to not fall off the rod. One of the deciding factors to choose this spot was the refrigerator, however it did not have the little freezer compartment.
The location of the hotel, in downtown close to businesses we wanted to visit. If you like dark coffee, good morning coffee.

United States of AmericaWe have stayed here a few times in the past and understand it is a motel, usually a fair price for what it is, etc. But the price this time was double what we usually pay, and our room was uncomfortable: the door had such a gap when closed that it was blowing cold air often, wind and noise coming from the street as well as rooms/office below. The heater worked ok, but was really dirty. The sink was clogged and we had to ask for someone to come and fix it. It feels like they really need to invest in some new towels and pillows, especially since rates have gone up. We usually like this spot for its location and prices, but we most likely won't be coming back next time we visit flagstaff,

United States of AmericaThe parking lot was cramped and dangerous, with too few parking spaces for all of the rooms. It was difficult to navigate the parking lot without hitting other cars, especially when there are pickup trucks in the lot. Even pulling into the lot, you had to be careful to weave tightly between cars in order to get in. The parking lot was also so cramped that it was hard to access the hallway corridors to get into the rooms (also, wheelchair accessibility is lacking!). As for the rooms -- the room was fairly clean, but cramped. The bathroom would be difficult for some people who use mobility aids.
The price was very affordable, especially for a room so close to all of the downtown Flagstaff action! The staff was kind and helpful. It was helpful to have a fridge and microwave in the room.

United States of AmericaCheck-in was terrible on our second stay. (we came and left from the train station). The person behind the desk was not understandable and did not understand our reservation was made through Book.com. One of our rooms was canceled and he tried to charge for it. And then he wanted to tack on fees that were included in our reservation. A very bad experience after a long day of travel.

United States of AmericaThe surprise $9 charge at the desk upon check-in set the mood. The heater in the room wasn’t even plugged in, so it took a while to get the room liveable. The hairball blocking the shower drain should have been noticed when cleaning the room, however the only thing that looks like it gets cleaned regularly are the sheets.
The location downtown couldn’t be more convenient for walking. It comes at a price with the old Route 66 and a very busy train line directly outside. The shower was weirdly nice.
